​4Life is a non-profit, networking-only public service for people who need to re-home their pets or found a stray animal. We provide networking coverage for spayed / neutered animals while the owner is able to keep until an adopter can be found.

We are operating in a STATE OF EMERGENCY and homeless dogs need YOU!

July is a busy month, and we reached 240% capacity for dogs in our kennels as more continue to enter the shelter than are leaving through adoption, lost pet reunification, foster, or transfer.

With more than 1,000 dogs in our shelter system, drastic change is needed to make space in our severely overcrowded kennels. It’s a heartbreaking reality, but shelter overcrowding means some animals are at-risk of euthanasia due to lack of space and the inability to properly care for that number of animals.

Our Western Riverside County/City Animal Shelter will be open this Saturday, July 19th from 10 a.m. to midnight to help get pets placed with adopters and fosters.

More lifesaving opportunities to take advantage of:

-Offering waived reclaim fees for ALL lost pets to help remove the financial barrier for families to reclaim their lost pet, as well as offering free microchips, vaccines, and spay/neuter services to pets who are reclaimed.

-Participating in the national BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters event, running through July19, offering FREE adoptions for cats and dogs at all locations. All adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, vaccinations, and ID tag. Choose from hundreds of incredible dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds.

-Providing $50 gift cards for pet supplies for adopters who adopt a dog 40+ lbs from the San Jacinto Valley Animal Campus, while supplies last.

-Providing available resources for all fostered pets to include medical care until they are adopted. All adoption fees are waived for fosters who choose to adopt.

Every dog that leaves our shelters makes space for the dogs that continue to enter, and we desperately need your support. Please share this message, tag an animal lover and help us get pets out of kennels and into homes.

Love dogs? We’re looking for volunteers (18+) to help walk our pups at the Newport Beach Animal Shelter. We have dogs of all sizes who could use some extra love and exercise. If you can commit to one morning a week, we have openings every day.

Our next volunteer orientation is coming up on Saturday, August 2. Now’s a great time to get involved.
