😱 Gumphrey was absolutely unbelievable in shop today. It was a big street market and the shop with packed constantly. I wasn’t even able to watch him. He attracted people in, engaged with everyone calmly for pats, hugs and kisses from kids. Made everyone feel happy while they were waiting in line to purchase. I tell you he is bulletproof!!!! I was so proud of him!

going for a walk. ⠀

Having a dog brought ⠀
smiles to many people’s ⠀

Our puppy has grown, ⠀
and we’re starting to see ⠀
what they can and can’t do. ⠀
⠀
We often tend to focus on ⠀
what they *can’t* do, but ⠀
they’re actually learning ⠀
more and more — like ⠀
toilet training or responding ⠀
to commands 🎵⠀
⠀
⠀
Overcoming challenges ⠀
takes time. But with daily ⠀
practice, little by little, ⠀
progress comes. ⠀
⠀
⠀
Start with just a few ⠀
3-minute sessions ⠀
each day👍⠀
⠀
Don’t rush it, and don’t ⠀
be stingy with rewards😂⠀
⠀
First, prepare some extra-⠀
delicious treats — ⠀
something really special.⠀
⠀
Whenever your dog ⠀
manages even a small ⠀
success, praise them and ⠀
give treats.⠀
⠀
There’s a big difference
in motivation between
kibble and roast pork. ⠀

It’s like the difference between
earning $30/hr and $300/hr ⠀
for us 😂😂⠀

Allowing them 10 minutes ⠀
of sniffing at the begging ⠀
of a walk can make a⠀
huge difference 😊⠀

My recent grooming fail 😅🐾⠀
⠀
⠀
⠀
About 3 weeks ago, I took ⠀
both Sky and Sunny to the
groomer, but their fur was⠀
matted that they ended up ⠀
being shaved super short⠀
—like Greyhounds! 😳⠀
⠀
⠀
After that, Sunny became
extremely down for nearly ⠀
3 weeks. She completely ⠀
stopped coming over to us ⠀
like she used to every day.⠀
⠀
On top of that, both dogs ⠀
ended up developing skin ⠀
issues, which meant a trip to ⠀
the vet and prescription ⠀
meds.⠀
⠀
Altogether, between ⠀
grooming and vet bills, ⠀
we ended up spending ⠀
around \$800 ⠀
for both of them 😓⠀
⠀
⠀
and I’ve decided to take ⠀
a 1-on-1 home grooming ⠀
course for pet owners in ⠀
October 😆⠀
⠀
⠀
If you’re taking your dogs ⠀
to be groomed, I really
recommend asking them⠀
not to cut the coat too short⠀
or shave too close to the skin.⠀
⠀
⠀
Matted fur can be avoided ⠀
with regular brushing, and if
possible, try to groom your ⠀
dogs yourself or take them ⠀
to a groomer every 2 months ⠀
to keep things manageable.⠀
⠀
⠀
Lesson learned... the ⠀
hard way! 🙃⠀
⠀
⠀
⠀
Thankfully, both Sky and ⠀
Sunny are now back to their ⠀
usual selves personality-wise♥️⠀

Sunny came back to us ⠀
due to her previous ⠀
owner's circumstances. ⠀

Within two weeks, I found ⠀
myself more attached to ⠀
her than anyone else ⠀
in the family. ⠀

She is incredibly intelligent,
patient, and confident. ⠀
⠀
⠀
I raised Sunny until she was ⠀
12 weeks old. Even back then, ⠀
I believed she had the potential ⠀
to one day become a great ⠀
therapy dog, which is why ⠀
I chose to keep her as a ⠀
breeding dog. ⠀

Sky is calm and gentle, ⠀
while Sunny is energetic, ⠀
kind, and also very calm in ⠀
nature. ⠀

When the leash ⠀
accidentally comes off ⠀

your dog runs so fast ⠀
toward a park. An urgent,
panicked "COME!"⠀

When your dog runs out ⠀
of the house and a car is
approaching a desperate,
life-saving "COME!!"⠀
⠀
In these moments, your ⠀
voice and tone are never ⠀
the same.⠀
⠀
⠀
Dogs can get confused if ⠀
the tone changes, even if ⠀
the word stays the same.⠀
⠀
⠀
That’s why, when training ⠀
the “come” command, you ⠀
must regularly practice ⠀
using the tone that matches
different real-life situations.⠀
