Heat Stroke Alert for Flat-Faced Friends!

Summer heat can be deadly—especially for brachycephalic breeds like Bulldogs, Pugs, and Frenchies. Their adorable flat faces make them more vulnerable to heat stroke, even on days that don’t feel that hot to us!

Know the signs:
• Heavy panting or difficulty breathing
• Drooling or vomiting
• Weakness, collapse, or confusion
• Bright red or pale gums

Keep them safe:
• Walk early or late—never midday
• Always provide shade and fresh water
• NEVER leave them in a parked car—not even for a minute!

If you suspect heat stroke, act FAST. Cool (not cold) water and rush to your nearest veterinary emergency hospital—every second counts.

Vet ER is open 24/7 to care for your pets when they need us most.
