I am signing off for a few days, I am having an op tomorrow, so will be “out of office” until the middle of next week.

Linda will be monitoring emails, but unless it’s urgent, please be patient (forgive the pun) while I take some time to recover.

A proposed bill for licensing rescues has been drawn up and presented to Parliament.

Having worked in rescue, I have seen many people helping animals under the banner of “rescue” that reality means they are keeping multiples of animals in an environment that is not ideal for the animals themselves. Tricky, when the animals alternative options are limited…

The recent case in the media of several dogs dying at the hands of an animal “charity” will no doubt have fuelled this bill and propelled the movement…

Let’s talk about play with puppies…

Engagement and fun are key elements to the relationship owners have with their puppies.

It helps with training and behaviour and creates a solid bond between owner and puppy.

The right type of play allows for expression of genetically wired behaviour, behaviours that our dogs NEED to fulfill.

Who talks about “play” in their puppy packs?

Here is our Keale… current stud dog for us and important part of the working team.

He has great health scores and results, a balanced and even temperament, he is trainable, biddable but has plenty of drive. He is social, affectionate and resilient too.

Confirmation wise he is on point and moves fluidly and athletically… all the things I would want in a stud dog.
