🪦(w)Rist in Piece💀

During one of our recent shows, one of my dogs got a little too excited and tripped me mid-routine. I did a cartoon fall (10/10 for form, questionable landing), and I ended up with a full fracture on my radial bone 😅 Thankfully my dog was completely unharmed, which I’m so grateful for!

Right now, I’m driving almost 24 hours solo with my dogs and cats for our next show. It’s been quite the adventure. I’m mostly bummed I can’t sip my coffee and enjoy the drive at the same time. 🥲

If I’ve been a little quiet or slow to reply, I promise I’m not ignoring anyone! Thanks so much for understanding. And hey, send snacks. Or bubble wrap. Or lots and lots of ice… 🤣

I’m taking a break from training my animals.
My mindset is in the wrong place.

I’m an extremely critical person, if something I’m doing isn’t exactly perfect, in my mind it’s horrible and a failure.

I try to be consciously better about the way I view things, but at times I revert back to that mindset.

Growing up, that’s what I was taught, if you don’t have an A and/or above a 90, you failed and you’re a disgrace.

It’s something I don’t ever really talk about, mostly because I want to remain an encouraging person for other people, but l am the worst critic for myself.

Imposter syndrome is real. It sucks, but it happens.

Meet Ben, my very first dog and the one who changed everything for me. He’s not just my partner in dog dance and adventures; he’s also my retired service dog and the reason I fell in love with agility.

Ben has been by my side through so much, teaching me resilience, patience, and the joy of teamwork. Even though he’s retired now, he still amazes me every day with his incredible spirit and love for life.

Thank you, Ben, for being my rock and my inspiration. You’ll always be my number one ❤️

Happy 4th birthday Sijan!

Since the moment I met you, I was in love with you. You always had a chip on your shoulder, thought you were better than everyone else, and you still carry that sass everywhere you go.

You’re my go-to for training new behaviors, you love learning, problem solving, trying difficult things. You’re patient with my mistakes, let me learn with you, and I’m so grateful for everything you do. You’re my first puppy I’ve ever raised and I’m so glad I got to share that journey with you.

Here’s to many many more years with you 🥂
