Grim Reaper Rescue & Reprieve is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, volunteer-only animal rescue serving Northeast Ohio & born in the CLE.

Our Story: No Matter the Odds...

Somehow, hurt, sick, abandoned, and struggling animals always seem to find us. No matter the odds, we believe that every single companion animal deserves the chance at happiness and health. We do our best at matchmaking our animals to owners that are first and foremost right for them. We intend to place each individual animal in a clean, safe, loving, responsible

environment, with a human that can afford their new pets' needs. We at Grim Reaper Rescue & Reprieve take it upon ourselves to educate the importance of adoption fees, and the costs and responsibilities of owning an animal. Animals that come into our care are checked for a microchip, and put on hold for 72 hours if brought as a stray. They are then spay/neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV/FeLV (cats) or heartworm (dogs), dewormed, and treated with preventative for fleas and heartworm before being placed into their permanent home. We are committed to nurture not just the physical well- being, but also the mental/emotional well-being of the animals in our care, and screen potential adopters heavily to make sure that families are matched with the idea animal(s). Every cent we receive goes towards our animals' care - whether it's food, bedding, enrichment items, preventative care, or necessary surgeries. Each animal is treated as if they were a member of our own families. No adoption is ever permanently closed – we have open arms to any returning GRRR alumni for any reason at anytime. Unfortunate life events should never put an animal in jeopardy. With your help, we strive to create a world with more hope and less homeless companion animals. YES, you read that right. It’s literally a CRIME against cuteness, a DIABOLICAL plot of disproportionate adorableness left unaddressed.

Meet one of our perfect mama cats; Piper—she is ready to steal your heart (and anyone elses she meets!)

This darling, maybe 1-2y old tortie is the epitome of the PERFECT cat. (Seriously.)

Piper celebrated a memorable day by welcoming her adorable kittens into the world on 🌱4/20, sure it was the high of her life 🤭😜, but now that her little buds have found their own loving homes, it's Piper's turn to relax! ✨

Fully vetted and spayed, Piper is ready for her forever to begin. Despite being a tortie, she somehow missed the memo about having the infamous "tortie-tude." Instead, she's nothing but affection and love, always ready for pets and to run her little noggin all over you. ❤️

Piper is a social butterfly 🦋 who adores children of all ages, making her a pretty bomb-proof 💣 family cat. She gets along splendidly with other feline friends and even enjoys hanging out with dogs—as long as they know how to treat a lady with the respect and gentleness she deserves. 🐾 💅🏽

Hey all,
One of our main fosters has hit an extremely hard patch. She’s in need not only financially but is in need of a place to crash. Her passions include photography art and animals. All of which she’s being forced to give up. We are relocating our kitties but she doesn’t deserve to lose all of her personal pets. Grim Reaper Rescue & Reprieve is a no-kill, non-profit, volunteer ran, small animal rescue serving in Northeast Ohio. We dedicate ourselves to animals who are at risk of unnecessary euthanasia, being homeless, or have been abandoned.

We do our best at matchmaking our animals to owners that are first and foremost right for them. Animals that go into our care are checked for a microchip, and put on hold for 72 hours if brought as a stray. They are then spayed, neutered, vaccinated, kid/cat/dog/and men/women tested, FIV/felv and heartworm tested, and treated with preventative for fleas and heartworm before being placed into their permanent home. Finally, we care for any breed, at any age, that presents itself in distress and nurture them to the best of our ability until they are placed with their adopter.

Foremost, every cent we receive is directly put towards our animals care whether it is for food, bedding, surgery, vaccines, medications, or toys. No adoption is ever permanently closed as we have open arms to any returning GRRR alum for any reason at anytime.
