What can I say about this little guy? He was our second nosework pup. He came to us at the age of 7 and was only with us for 3 years before we lost him to congestive heart failure😢. We trained him ourselves and he was a natural! He would intently watch when we would train with Roxy. So we turned him loose , no primary right onto odor, and he just knew what to do! He made it to NW3 when we thought it was a good idea to find a great trainer and were introduced to Michele Ellerston! This guy made it all the way up to his last NW3 without missing a hide or false alerting he was amazing! We lost him not long after. His is a long story on how he made his way into our home and hearts all the way from Minnesota to RI.

This is Roxy our first nosework pup. She started nosework by chance when she was 12 1/2 years old after we lost our 9 year old cocker to cancer😢. We took her to a pet walk when a dog training employee approached us about spaniels being great at nosework and we said Nosework? What the hell is that?! They had a try it expo so we did! They were having a fundraising raffle and we won a 6 week class! She never earned her NW 1 but did finish 2nd place in one of her NW1 container search’s! She did earn her L1I and L1E titles. We lost her at age 14 1/2 but she loved her nosework! No matter how old they are this is a great sport to keep their minds active in their later years. Team Kenzi competed in their first Summit trial this past Monday and Tuesday at Camp Green Lane in Green Lane PA! What a blast ! Great searches, great volunteers , great COs and great judges! Congratulations to all the competitors , just making it to this level of nosework is no small feat! All the hours of training, classes and practice to get here show the dedication we have to our pups and this sport. Team Kenzi finished 10th overall. We can’t wait for the next one! AND on top of all this each competitor received a framed team picture courtesy of the host, the pictures were taken by her sister what a great gift!
