I would like to share some key information regarding Romanian rescue dogs.
- Romanian dogs haven’t been socialised properly or not all.
- they are not use to various Loud Noises
- Romania is a hot country and very little time of the year it’ll turn cold or not at all.
- most of the dogs that are taken in are from the streets, so they’ve adapted to being in the wild.
So please consider if you are thinking about rescuing a dog from Romanian.
- the dog will need to adapt to being around humans, as they will cared and loved
- the dog will most likely need a trainer for it to socialise with other dogs, however this is personal preference.
- the dog will need to adapt to the temperature changes
- when it comes to grooming, i would highly recommend going with a 1-2-1 dog groomer and make sure you ask if you can stay with the dog, as the dog will go in to flight mode and may have to wear a muzzle for the safety of the groomer and owner. However as time will go on, with a number of sessions, the muzzle might be able to be taken off at certain points.
Please do your research before rescuing a dog from Romania or other hot countries.
