I wanted to reintroduce myself on here since this page hasn’t been as active as it used to be! I’m Bryanna and I’ve been working as a trainer since 2018 and have been learning about animal behavior since 2014. I’ve received my Bachelors in Anthrozoology, which is the study of the human and animal bond, and this year I finished a Masters program in Applied Animal Behavior and Welfare. I have trained a huge variety of dogs over the past 8 years, but I absolutely love working with crazy adolescents and reactivity dogs SO much. I’ve been extremely lucky to have some phenomenal trainers as my mentors over the years (Katie's Clever Canines and Underdogs Long Beach just to name a few) and the biggest lesson I’ve learned is that we are never done learning and that EVERY dog deserves empathy and kindness in their training.

I originally made this page in 2020 because I started dog walking during lock down and wanted to share some cute faces with my friends and family. Now this page has turned into me sharing much more than that so I’m changing the name of this page from Bry Walks Dogs to Training Tails PNW because I feel like it encompasses more of the growth both myself and my career have taken! I hope you all continue to follow me along as I continue to share on here and you can email me at [email protected] if you’d like to start working with me!

Some private training from today!

Frankie and Maisie used to really struggle with seeing people and dogs out on their walks. They‘ve come SO far and are now able to go on calm walks together!

Lola has been hard at work with calmly greeting guests coming into her home and also feeling comfortable with people touching her so that she’s ready to go to the vet this year!

Hi everyone!!

I wanted to let you all know about my final class I’m offering with Underdogs! Cafe Dog begins on June 7 and is a four week long class taking place at 8:45am on Saturdays. In these four sessions we will be visiting common outdoor spaces that we want to bring our dogs to and work on behaviors like settle, loose leash walking, and calmness around distractions. This is a great class for people who have either taken some of our indoor classes or have done ongoing private training with us!

Cafe dog is a great way to learn how to integrate your training skills into your outings with your dog and will also be such a fun send off to my time with all of you!

Send us an email if you want to enroll! Hope to see you there!

Let's get real for a second.

The world often paints a picture that dogs who live together are best friends and do everything together.

This is just not true. Many many many multidog household utilize management in different situations to allow dogs personal space to enjoy things such as:

- feeding time
- chew time
- play time
- attention time

This. Is. Normal.

Just because someone utilizes management, doesn't mean their dogs don't enjoy each other's company or have fun together. It just means that there are certain activities that they prefer to do on their own.

And I will tell you firsthand that implementing safe space zones and time apart can be so beneficial to the relationship between two dogs.

Think about it-- do you enjoy doing every single activity that you do at home with your spouse, family, or sibling RIGHT there? I don't think so.

So let's normalize management between dogs who live together!!

I never have the right words to express how heartbreaking it is when a client dog passes away. I’ll always cherish the moments I got to spend with Mackay and seeing his goofy personality always brightened my day. Losing our pets is like losing a piece of our heart, so please send love and positivity to his mom Susan and his little sister Addy while they’re going through this difficult time❤️
