Sitting in my quiet arena this evening, reflecting on the life and wisdom of John Saint Ryan, a man who I considered to be one of the great ones. A friend, a mentor, a voice for the horse.

I would have picked him up at the airport today in preparation for the three day clinic we were to have this weekend.
Instead, I will get on my mare and solute him with a halt and nod at X, and be dearly grateful for the three times I had the honor to learn from him, and for all the knowledge he took the time to impart to so many of us.

Mandorla Farm in Canby OR. is looking for a live-in gardener. Work/trade for living on site.

We are looking for someone passionate about plants and gardening, (there will be lots of weeding and garden care) general landscaping and farm maintenance. Would like to grow a food garden and have help tending it as well as the ornamental and general plants.
Knowledge of horticulture and use of tools and equipment, and ability to work in all weather is important!

Living location is a loft apartment with composting toilet. Cute space overloooking the farm.

Not a horse job, but it is a 40 acre horse farm, so you will need to be comfortable working around them.

We are enjoying the lovely cool weather, learning at the connection pen on day 4 of our 5 day Pathways to Harmony - Happy Horse Happy Life clinic with Coach Kristi Smith.

This is our 3rd year of hosting this transformational experience with Kristi, and every year, her commitment to imparting deep and lasting knowledge into her students and their horses is exceptional.

This is not a clinic about a particular equine discipline. Is is a clinic about the foundation skills every horse and human should have in their relationship, to lean on, before and during one’s chosen discipline.
Kristi teaches all of the elements to these 10 modules, with particular focus on the first 6, in which, all of the ingredients are found to succeed and solve problems in any area you and your horse hope to enjoy or are struggling with:

1. Connection
2. Relaxation
3. Responsiveness
4. Confidence
5. Impulsion
6. Bending
7. Harmony
8. Agility
9. Purpose
10. Power

I highly recommend this clinic to all and hope to see some fresh faces next year!

We are so excited to host this 5 day retreat in August with Coach Kristi Smith!
This will be Kristi’s 3rd time returning to Mandorla.

This clinic/retreat promises undevided time focusing on you and your horse’s connection and relationship, your timing and awareness, the psychology of learning for horse and human, posture and seat improvement, ground and ridden time, and so much more.

We had a visit from Moon and Soliel!
They stopped by for a bathing session with their owner who boards her horse with us, and now smell like fruit rollups and are the squeakiest clean donks in all the county!! 🤩

If you are attending Celeste’s clinic this weekend:

Clinic is 8:00 am to approximately 6:00 pm.

***DO NOT drive through our neighbor’s tree farm even though google maps may try to direct you that way. ONLY enter at the Mandorla Farm gated entry. Gate will be open.

*Please bring a chair, snacks, LUNCH and drinks for yourself. Dress in warm layers. THERE WILL NOT BE A LUNCH BREAK.

Please come prepared to pay for auditing by cash, check, or Venmo. All auditor fees go to Celeste.

*PARKING: Please try to park in orderly rows on the grass verges near the arena barn. Leave parking at the smaller barn for horse trailers. LEAVE ROOM FOR HORSE TRAILERS to enter and exit. If you can carpool, please do!

*There will be a sound system.

*We ask that auditors try to stay quiet and focused during this clinic and take conversations out to the driveway. Thank you!
