Hi friends! We have been having some issues with my page, so w apologize for the lack of posts lately. While I’ve been on Facebook hiatus, I was entered into a cool contest put on by Community Partnership of the Ozarks. I made it to #4 in the Springfield’s Top Dog contest. Happy Valentine’s week, friends! This week I visited my buddies at Truman for a very special Dog Valentines party! How neat is that? We played dog BINGO, musical hearts, and a fun fetch game where my kids would toss a stuffy toy towards a heart, I would fetch it and then bring it back to my kids. My friends even gave me gifts. I had so much fun.

Mom and I are blessed to be a part of such an amazing group of school staff and students.

Oh friends, I had the bestest day ever! Mom took me to my job at Truman and they had a surprise for me. Every visit I spend time in three rotations, each with a great group of students. Today each of my groups had Christmas presents for me! I got lots of yummy gingerbread treats to bring home to share with my friends and toys! We played some scent work games and I showed my friends how I find things with my nose. I am so thankful for my Truman friends! After, it was a quick stop for a puppaccino!

Hi friends, mom has been slacking a bit. She forgot to post these pics from a few weeks ago.

I had such a great time at Truman with my buddies! My friends read to me and gave me lots of pats and hugs. Afterwards mom took me to 7 Brew Coffee for a yummy puppaccino! Best day ever!

Hi friends! Did you know that this week is World Kindness Week? I learned that a school today! I am the classroom dog for my CSS kiddos. They are my kiddos, and I’m happy to be their dog! Going on 3 years now. But today, to show kindness, they shared me with three other classes! This meant many more smiles and lots more love for me. Mom calls those win wins.

My mom answered lots of questions about me and explained that my job as a pet therapy dog is to bring joy to others. I worked very hard today. Mom kept telling me what a great boy I am, and I got a McD’s breakfast sandwich when we were done!

Can you do me a favor? Can you try real hard to do one extra nice thing for someone to show kindness each day this week?

Happy fall, friends! Today my Truman friends and I made some fall die cuts to be used in a project later, but today they used it to decorate me 🍁. We also sang some fall songs. Did you know they have a Baby Shark song about fall? Well, we listened to it three times and now my mom keeps singing it. Silly mom.

Friends! Our topic today at school was friends. Friends are very important. We should be thankful for our friends, support and encourage them. We should treat them kindly, just as we should treat everyone kindly. Today my friend Gus the Great Pyrenees joined me on my pet therapy visit to see my friends at Truman Elementary. Gus was very friendly and kind. He and his dad are working on becoming a pet therapy team so they can bring joy to others. I know they brought a lot of joy today!

Afterwards mom took me to see my friends at 7 Brew Coffee. They know me there and gave me the biggest pup cup I’ve ever seen! I was so excited, I didn’t even mind that I sloshed whipped cream all over dads truck. Oops! Mom told me not to tell anyone about that part.

Remember this week, as we get into the busy season, to be a good friend. Sometimes we don’t know that someone is having a bad day, and giving them a smile or a sloppy doggie kiss could really make them lots happier.

Hi friends! Yesterday I got to hang out with my Truman buddies. We talked about rules. We talked about rules I follow at home and rules my friends follow at school. Did you know we have some of the same rules? My friends aren’t allowed to run and play inside the hallways or classroom, just like I’m not supposed to run and play rough inside my house. They also have to wait for snacks, like I have to wait to eat from my bowl until my mom says it’s ok. They have to ride in car seats. I ride in my special Impact crate. I have to be gentle with my friends, just like they have to be gentle and kind with their classmates. I demonstrated being gentle by carefully taking yummy treats from my friends hands.

We also sang some songs and I got to play along! We played with some pretend ice cream (I wasn’t quite positive why I couldn’t just eat the non-melting ice cream, but oh well).

My mom told me I was a very good boy, as usual. We treated ourselves to 7 Brew Coffee after! Then it was back home, so my mom could get to work and I could take a nap on my bed in her office. It’s a lot of work being a therapy dog, and I really love my naps.

Happy back to school day! I sure missed my kids and staff this summer. I was the happiest pet therapy doggo around when my mom took me to school today. My kids and I learned how to walk nicely in the hallways and we talked about staying on task and being good listeners. Here’s to a great 2023-24 school year! My third at Truman!

Hi friends! My moms page was hacked, so I have been off FB for a bit. But not to worry! I love my pet therapy gig and it certainly didn’t slow down my visits! And now I’m back!

Today I visited Truman and celebrated the last day of school with my kids I love so much! We went on a nature walk, then played a bit on the playground. I passed out some fun summertime goodies and got lots of pets. Three of my kids graduated elementary and are moving on to middle school. It has been so fun to watch all my kids over the last two years grow and learn. I’m so thankful for the time I’ve gotten to spend here and I am already excited for school to start again in a few months!

I‘m telling you, I have the best friends ever at Truman!

I arrived for my normal pet therapy shift to find out that ALL 3 of my classrooms basically threw a Flynn party. How cool is that?!?! My friends made class-made doggie cookies yesterday. I got to sample several today, and they sent home 3 bags that I can share with my friends. I asked my mom if I had to share, and she said yes 🙄. We talked about what dogs eat and what are healthy treats for dogs. We discovered that a few of my friends and I share some favorite snacks… string cheese! And apples!

Today I went with my mom to St. Louis to meet a few families who are bringing home a few of my kids. I love road trips! I had so much fun playing with everyone and we even stopped for a puppaccino on the way home.

Can you believe that 3 years ago I became a pet therapy dog?

Did you know that sometimes I like being a fancy show dog? Do you know what I love the most about my show dog weekends? Weekends with my momma! I get her undivided attention and she fusses over me the entire time. I also get to smile and wag my tail, and everyone tells me I’m so handsome. It’s just the best. This is me last weekend with my friend, Debi, at an AKC show in Kansas. So much fun!
