I watched out my kitchen window as a young skunk was being stalked by a young neighborhood cat near my shed. I kept telling the young cat to "leave him alone; he's not what you think he is." And sure enough, the young skunk warned the kitten to no avail, and bam...the kitten got sprayed in the face! Oooh, did he hightail it out of there while the young skunk went on his merry way. I think that kitten learned a valuable lesson, don't you?

"I rule here! Nothing you say will change my mind!" exclaimed the little dog to her brother. "You're not the boss of me! Try and see what happens!" he responded firmly. It was clear that they both had their heels dug in on this matter, neither one willing to compromise. Their mom was at her wit's end on what to do, as this had been going on for some time. We discussed specific aids for each of them that would help them coexist more peacefully. Mom was very grateful!
