Her first rescue was at the age of 7 when a bird flew into her window and injured its wing, and she demanded her parents to take the bird and her to the vet. From then Emily surrounded herself with animals big and small. When the pandemic hit, she was set to move with her job to Tokyo, Japan. Unfortunately, circumstances did not allow that, and she was let go. She followed her inner passion, that
she credits both her late aunts for, and started Waldo's Rescue Pen after their dogs Waldo and Penelope. In just a short year, Waldo's has rescued over 1,200 dogs with the incredible help of fosters, adopters, volunteers and donors.
