I wasn’t going to post anything until September but I couldn’t ignore this. The gundog world & the world in general has lost an incredible man with a heart of gold.

I am heartbroken 💔 & don’t have the words to express my love for Gerry Price. I can’t believe you’ve gone.

Gerry was one of the good ones. Quietly kind. Soulful. With a smile that came from his heart. Someone whose presence meant something. And I just want to say, publicly, that I am so grateful to have crossed paths with him. I see him. I remember him. I carry him with me.

And to his beloved wife, Ann.
The love between you radiated in every story, every photo, every word Gerry ever shared.
He adored you. Truly.
And the strength, grace, and devotion you showed was visible to anyone who ever saw you together.
My heart is with you, and I’m holding you in the deepest love.

Rest well, beautiful soul.
Thank you for being my earth angel

📣 Summer Social Media Pause 🌿

From Wednesday 16th July, I’ll be stepping away from both my personal and business social media accounts (including Messenger) until Monday 9th September.

This break is about creating space to focus on:
• My clients and ongoing 1:1 sessions (limited availability atm)
• Upcoming workshops and new training

I’ll still be working and available by email or WhatsApp for bookings and support, I’m simply taking this time offline to live life, laugh as much as possible, and make memories with the people I love.

🍁 Coming This Autumn:

✨ New workshops & events
🐾 Specialist 1:1 behaviour support
🎓 Ongoing qualifications and CPD
🗓️ A refreshed booking system

Thank you for all the continued support. Wishing you a brilliant summer I’ll see you in September!

This morning, standing at the edge of this water, I felt it, that quiet fullness.

For me, it’s not one thing. It’s all the puzzle pieces that make up my life:
The freedom and power I feel in triathlon
The purpose and connection through dog training
The deep compassion that nursing gives me
The unconditional love from my children
The laughter and realness with friends and family
The love & soul connection of being with animals or people who see you (flaws & all)

Each one fills a part of me. Together, they make me whole.

But it got me thinking…
Do you know what fills your dog’s cup?

Not just food, water, and a quick walk…
But what makes them light up? Feel safe? Seen? Joyful?

Is it:
A game of chase?
A sniffari in the woods?
A quiet cuddle on the sofa?
Learning something new with you?

Dogs are just like us. They need connection, play, rest, purpose.
They need to be understood not just managed.

✨ So here’s your reminder:
You’re allowed to fill your own cup.
And your dog deserves the same.
When both of you are full, that’s when the real magic happens.

Drop a photo below of your dog at their happiest. Let’s celebrate what fills their cups too

You’re Not “Just” Anything

Eight years ago I stood on this helipad at St George’s Hospital, leading a trauma scenario on one of the best courses I’ve ever done.

The brief:
Multi-vehicle collision. One deceased. One en route.
I was the team leader the nurse in charge.
What I didn’t know at the time?
Two of my team members were consultants. Another was a registrar.

Afterwards, during the debrief, they asked me:
“Where are you a registrar?”
I laughed.
“Oh, I’m just a nurse.”

But I wasn’t “just” anything.
I was calm. I was clear. I led the team. I trusted myself and they trusted me too. I was rooted in my knowledge, skill’s & ability. Was I scared, absolutely, but that’s when the magic happens, and it did that day.

Now, years later, I see the same thing in my clients.

You say things like:
👉 “I’m just a dog owner.”
👉 “I’m not experienced enough.”
👉 “It’s probably my fault.”

But here’s the truth:
You’re not just anything.
You’re doing the work. You’re showing up.
You’re leading your dog through difficult emotions, stressful behaviours, and complex triggers.

And in that, you are so much more than “just” a dog owner.
You’re your dog’s safe place. Their translator. Their advocate. Their guide.

I share this moment not to look back but to remind us what’s possible.
🐾 Growth takes courage.
💡 Leadership starts with trust.
🔥 And our power is often clearest when we stop apologising for taking up space.

So if you’re walking through a tough patch with your dog (or life) right now just know:
You’re not alone.
You’re not failing.
You’re not “just” anything.

You’re learning, growing & evolving everyday & so are your dogs.

Rise & shine, dog lovers!

While most of the world’s still snoozing, I’m brewing coffee with a side of dog hair (the best kind, obviously 🐾).

4am might sound mad, but for me it’s the best time to connect with my dogs, set intentions, and embrace the day before it gets noisy. 3 dogs, 3 children, a business, nursing, & being a triathlete requires a delicate balance.

It’s also my favourite part of the day. The world is quiet & anything feels possible. It’s like a little bit of magic.

Anyone else part of the 4am crew?

What’s your morning routine with your dog?

🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️I’m racing. And this time, I want you there.

On Sunday 27th July at 8am, Rachael Burns and I will be racing at Eton Dorney, and I’m inviting you, my friends, family and clients, to come and cheer us on.

In the past, I kept race days quiet.
Why?
Because I feared not being perfect.
Because I feared being seen when I wasn’t winning.
Because I feared not being enough.

But that’s not me anymore.
That version of me is retired.

The me that’s racing this July?
She’s strong. She’s steady. She’s proud of herself.
She’s done the work, physically, mentally, emotionally.
And she wants to celebrate that with the people who’ve lifted her, loved her, believed in her.

So come. Bring your coffee, bring your voice, bring your love.
Let’s make it a morning to remember.
Whether I crawl or fly across that finish line, you’ll see a woman who chose to rise.

Eton Dorney, Sunday 27th July, 8am.
Let’s make it magic. 💫

🕺💃 Dancing in the kitchen.
Something I never used to do.
Not because I didn’t want to… but because I didn’t feel safe enough to let myself.

Healing isn’t linear. It isn’t always pretty. Sometimes it’s tears, silence, or survival mode.
But sometimes, healing looks like this.
🎶 A random solo dance party while making lunch, Hamilton blaring in the background, and a quiet voice inside whispering…
“You’re safe now. You’re home. You’re YOU again.”

Today I felt that.
Today I danced.
And for the first time in a long time… it felt amazing.
This is what healing can look like.
Messy. Brave. Beautiful. Alive.
All witnessed by my best friends

To all of my amazing clients who have supported me. I cannot thank you enough. Your kindness and generosity has been overwhelming in the most beautiful way.

🌿✨ “You’re just like Krista from FernGully.” ✨🌿

Once, someone special said that to me… and without even knowing, they paid me one of the best compliments I’ve ever received.
Krista, the wild, curious, fiercely protective fairy who cares deeply for her forest.
And FernGully? One of my all-time favourite films. If you don’t know the Batty Rap, where have you been?!?
(Also… Batty, voiced by Robin Williams? ICONIC. The tree crash scene lives rent-free in my head forever.)

It got me thinking… if we have soul characters, what about our dogs?

🐾 Is your dog a bold and chaotic Simba or a sweet, sensitive Belle?
🐾 Are you Krista to your Labrador’s Batty?
🐾 Or are you a Gandalf raising a pack of mischievous hobbits?

I genuinely believe our dogs mirror our inner worlds, sometimes matching our energy, sometimes teaching us through contrast.
Training and behaviour work is never just about the dog. It’s about understanding both of you.

These are the Disney characters that my dogs most remind me of…..

🐾 Left: Dougal

Disney Match: Bagheera (The Jungle Book)
• Calm, watchful, serious vibes — probably the responsible one of the crew.
• Keeps the others in line, but secretly soft-hearted underneath that cool exterior.
• Probably rolls his eyes a lot but would take on a bear for his pack.

🐾 Middle: Delphi

Disney Match: Giselle (Enchanted)
• Full of sparkle, warmth, and joy — like she could burst into song at any moment.
• That happy little face just radiates sunshine.
• She’d charm a squirrel out of a tree and still race you through the forest like a rocket.

🐾 Right: Mac

Disney Match: Kristoff (Frozen)
• Solid, loyal, a bit serious on the outside — but he’s got a huge heart.
• Probably tries to act unimpressed but would 100% jump into a river for you.
• The grounded one who carries the emotional load for everyone else.

So tell me…
✨ Who would your dog be in a film?
✨ And what character do you think you are when you’re out there together, adventuring in the real world?

Drop your answers in the comments, I’d love to know! 🧚‍♀️🌿🐾

Just a bunch of legends, staying on the path…
(No magic, just messy consistency!)

I get asked a lot especially by spaniel owners how I manage to walk my dogs in the real world without them vanishing into the woods or launching into full scent-mode madness.

Truth is… it hasn’t been easy, quick, or perfect.

Take Delphi. She’s as birdy as they come. It’s taken time, patience, and a lot of reps to get her to the point where we can go pretty much anywhere with confidence.

And then there’s Mac, my beautiful black Lab, who’s both socially awkward and a hunting machine. Think: Hannibal Lecter with a nose for wildlife 😅

None of this happened overnight. It’s been consistent training, real-life messiness, and knowing that progress isn’t linear, especially when you’ve got a busy life too.

But this… this little clip of them just bimbling along, on the path, content that’s the kind of win I love most.

🐾 Because consistency beats chaos.
🐾 Because dogs don’t need perfect, they need patience.
🐾 Because small wins become big ones when you stick with it.

Got a wild one you’re working with? Drop a 🐥 or 🦴 below, I see you!
