Another sad time for the ALW family. Little Yoyo went over the rainbow bridge this weekend. 🌈❤️
After becoming paralysed in March, she has fought so hard and had done so well - but unfortunately the time came to say goodbye.

Yoyo was the sweetest frenchie I had ever met, just so snuggly and the squishiest little forehead 🥹🥰 I’ll miss her ridiculous faces when her tongue flopped out or her lip got stuck on her teeth 😂

So much love to her pawrents and siblings ❤️

It’s taken me a while to write this because I’ve just been at a loss for words. But two weeks before we lost Alfie, we also lost Drax.

My heart absolutely breaks thinking about him. Drax was the first dog I officially took on with my own business. And at only 5 months old, I got to watch him grow up.

Your ridiculously funny faces, action shots and envy-worth hairography are already so so missed. What am I going to do without people looking at me weirdly when I call you my “spoon”?! (Spaniel = Spoonial = Spoon)
And who is going to full-launch at my nose every time I crouch down 😂🥰

Drax grew up to be a sassy little thing - but even when he couldn’t be around other dogs in the car… he would still try to climb inside Bronn and Jax’s mouths for kisses. 😂 The three of them were the best of friends from the beginning. As well as Alfie and Basil - the five of them became my little boyband 🥹😂 Drax of course would be the heartthrob of the band… I mean, look at that hair! 🤩

Oh Alfie 💔
Beyond heartbroken to say Alfie passed away this morning. I cannot imagine work without him. Everyone who has ever joined me on a walk has had the pleasure of meeting this amazing boy. And everyone loves him! I’ve never met a dog that didn’t like him either! He was one of a kind!

I’ve never met such a quirky little weirdo 😂 and I loved every strange thing he did. Trying to explain his quirks to people always made me laugh. “Yes, he likes to chew on other dogs tongues when they’re panting”. “He will come eventually, he’s just pretending he’s been abandoned so he gets more treats”. “No he is not part-monkey, he’s just so good at parkour”. “Don’t get him too excited otherwise he’ll bite your boob or sneeze in your mouth” 😂 and many more! My favourite was how his tail would go straight when he was zoomin 🖤

This month will be 5 years since I started walking Alf. I originally started just as holiday cover for his previous walker. I completely fell in love with him and was so excited when his walker gave him to me full time! So I got Alfie squishes Monday-Friday. 🥰

Basil, Drax and Alfie were the OG boys of A.Long Walkies, and the best of friends. We sadly lost Basil last year, and Drax not even two weeks ago. It’s been such a tough time but I can’t help but smile when thinking about the three of them running around together again! They have their besties back 🤍🤎🖤

I am so grateful to Alfie’s mum and dad for letting me come and see him last night. We didn’t know it would be his last night, so even more thankful we got to say goodbye in time. Sending hugs 🫂

Alfie, you were the best friend a girl could ask for. The list of people and pooches that will miss you is too long to even write down.

I know it’s a long shot but if you don’t ask you don’t get 🤞🏼😅

I have always wanted a secure field for my business as it has so many safety benefits for the pups!! And after being physically and verbally assaulted whilst on a walk last summer, my anxiety around walking in public spaces massively increased… I love my job so much but I’d love it even more with that added security 🥰

My dream is to own a field and live and work on it! But that is a long way off 😅
So thought I would at least put some feelers out there as I see sooooo many fields as I’m driving around every day that are just permanently empty!

So if you’d like to help me out massively and get some free animal care (not just dogs!) in the meantime - please pop me a message!!
