Hello everyone,

Just a gentle reminder that there will be changes made to bookings and payment as of the 1st of August.

Unfortunately iv had a lot of last minute cancellations/ rescheduling recently and whilst I do understand people may forget appointments, or have work things come up. It can massively impact my business.

I do try to be understanding and always accommodating of rescheduling however without 24 hours notice I can’t always fill the missed appointment.

Because of this as of August the 1st I will be taking a 50% deposit for booking.

Any appointments cancelled without 24hours notice will lose there deposit.

I’m really sorry it has had to come to this. Iv tried to avoid having a booking deposit for a while, and do have a cancellation policy in place as per my T & Cs but unfortunately it is not working.

Sorry to have a moan but I hope you all understand.

Have a lovely rest of the day.

Emily 🙂

Joint ROM 📝

To assess each joint though its full range of motion that it may be moved through

I find this helpful to tell me the health of joint structure, the fluidity of movement and flexibility within the surrounding tissues.

The ‘end feel’ of a joint can give clear indication of any joint changes (eg. Crepitus highlighting potential arthritis or a soft end feel highlighting muscular restriction)

I also look out for heat, swelling, pain and behaviour surrounding a joint being palpated or mobilised

I feel this is such a vital assessment tool to include within any of my animal assessments, to highlight key areas or dysfunction or weakness. 🐶🐴

Paddy looking snoozy enjoying some poll releases yesterday 🥰

Tightness within the poll can relay down into the neck and limit the horses ability to bend and flex correctly, which will overall impact there suppleness. Restrictions in this area can also compromise balance specifically through turns and transitions. And lead to inconsistent contact whereby they may show reluctance to engage, head toss or become head shy. During ridden exercise they may hold their head in an unnatural position such as too high, too low or tilted to one side.

Chronic poll tension can directly transfer to the temoromandibular joint and lead to issues here that can relay across the rest of the body eg. The neck and back.

Today’s treatment veiw after a very busy week 💆‍♀️ how cute are these guys !!!! 😍

Visited the lovely Eileen today for her 3rd sports massage treatment. After many
years of sitting at a desk and feeling as though her neck and back are quite uncomfortable, Eileen was starting to get regular headaches from the chronic build up of tension.

After just 3 sessions of sports massage and radiofrequency therapy !! Eileen has stopped getting headaches, her posture has improved and is feeling so much more mobile and most importantly pain free !!! 💪🏻😊

All about the fascial edge tool. (The magical spoon!)
This tool is very effective in tackling stubborn trigger points as well as releasing resticted fibrosed tissue, particularly fascia.

Fascia is a connective tissue that encases each and every structure around the body to help allow for more freedom of movement and shock absorption.
If restricted full range of movement cannot be achieved and an onset negative chain reaction to the rest of the body will be present.

The fascial edge tool is great for !!
🔥tightness
🔥 fascial restriction
🔥 trigger points
🔥 increasing blood flow
🔥 reducing scar tissue
🔥 improving lymphatic drainage
🔥 deep tissue massage

Iv been treating the lovely Daisy for a trauma injury sustained to her check ligament. She’s had a period of rest and has received weekly radiofrequency treatment to help correct collagen alignment, reduce inflammation and overall enhance healing to prevent reinjury.

These photos are just 4 weeks apart.

Photo 1 - the lesion is large in size with a lot of inflammation present throughout the whole limb.
Photo 2 - the lesion has slightly reduced on both sides and is feeling harder in tone where scar tissue is forming, reduced heat was felt over the lesion and lower limb
Photo 3 - the lesion had massively decreased in size. No inflammation was present and the scar tissue was a lot softer in tone.
Photo 4 - the global size of the limb has dramatically decreased and is starting to form a more normal shape.

Daisy has since had had her re scan from the vets and after just 4 weekly sessions she is trotting up sound and has been given the all clear to start strengthening work. With the ligament healed and showing no signs of holes she can now begin to build up her turnout time and start ridden work 😃
