Wilma is now accepting applications for potential adopters. She has one vet visit and then she’ll officially be ready.

Here’s what you need to know about Wilma Jean:
1. She is the epitome of a stubborn, hard headed bulldog.
2. She ADORES all people.
3. Her previous records say she is in kidney failure, but we will confirm with our vet. She is on kidney food for this and doesn’t have any symptoms, currently.
4. She likes licking knees.
5. She ignores other dogs in the home, unless they snap at her, and then she tries to lay on them. (This has happened with only one grumpy old man dog in her foster home.)
6. She ignores the 20 year old cat, chickens, and pigs in her foster home.
7. She is crate and potty trained.

Guess who is ready to find a new forever foster home. We are looking for a hospice for our old man, Grandpa. We aren’t sure how much time we have left with this boy, but we want him to be living his best life.

As a hospice foster you will take care of Grandpa and we will provide everything you need for his care - food, supplements, veterinary care, etc. if you’re interested, please reach out!

🎤 Uhm, hello, what’s that about only wanting purebred dogs?

Welcome our newest addition to the Henry’s House crew, Wilma. She was bailed from Lyon County Animal Services this morning and is already settling in with the crew. Here’s what we know so far:

1. She was well loved.
2. She has no concept of personal space and loves everyone.
3. She smells and sounds like a bulldog.
4. She ignores other dogs, pigs, and chickens.

We’ll know more over the next few weeks as we get her ready to find her forever home.

Wag N' Wheels is tomorrow!! Join us from 12 - 4 PM at Reno Public Market to cheer on your favorite racers!

MidTown Reno is partnering with Jade Dispensary and the Reno Riverwalk District to expand the event and raise even more funds. This year, we will raise money for Henry’s House, a Senior and Special Needs Dog Rescue.

Guess who has a name! Meet Grandpa. He really is just an old man and lives up to his name. We love him. He’ll be heading for his intake appointment here shortly so we can get a care plan started.

WANTED: Temporary weekend fosters. We are looking for foster homes to watch HH dogs while we take much needed vacations. These would be 3-4 night stays and all necessary supplies would be provided. Interested or would like more information? Please message us!

Incoming new old man. This sweet, deaf, blind, and geriatric Boston just landed a spot here at Henry’s House. More to come once we come up with a name and get him in for an intake visit. Got any old man name suggestions? Drop them here!
