I'm sad to share the news of the passing of a partner.
A cut and paste from his family:

'Scott Jeffrey Romine, a cherished member of his family and community, passed away on March 3, 2025, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, at the age of 54. Born on August 8, 1970, in Saint Clair, Michigan, Scott lived his life with a steadfast commitment to hard work and an unwavering love for those around him.

Scott's career was marked by a hands-on approach that reflected his character. His dependability and honesty made him a trustworthy friend and colleague'

Scott earn the respect of all those who worked at Circle Bar H. Even when he was not 100% he gave all that he had and more. Payroll would say he was an employee, but I was happy to call him Partner! At Circle Bar H, he was part breeder of record on 3 horse. Two sold in KY in Nov and Dec, with the last one being born days before his passing. Already we have plan to name one of the foal after Scott with help from his family on the name.

Coolmore's grade 1-winning freshman sire Echo Town was represented by his first stakes winner Oct. 18 when Elegant Echo rallied from off the pace to score in the $100,000 Oklahoma Classics Lassie Stakes at Re*****on Park.

A Little About Us

After two years of owning and racing horses under the name Big Sugar Racing, we decided it would soon be time to buy land to give our runners some much-needed time off and finally realize our dream of raising the next generation of winners. We traveled throughout Eastern Oklahoma, looking for the ideal mixture of space, personnel, and accessibility. We found what we were looking for on a 70-acre farm in Sallisaw, OK that quickly expanded into the 190 acres we have today! We soon identified Arkansas, Iowa, and Oklahoma as prime markets to breed, run, and win with top-notch racehorses raised on our family-owned farm. Now that Big Sugar Racing has establish the quality of our breeding through its track record, we are open to selling our future foals as we continue to run new winners under the Circle Bar H name.

At Circle Bar H we are excited about our future, and hope to make an impression on you with our foals. We feel the best statement we can make is in the results of our Bold and Black Type winners.
