Happy Paws Mogappair are a group of animal rescuers based in Mogappair and anna nagar west, We have joined hands together to help the animals in distress in our own neighbourhood.

5 years!! What started as a few people talking about making a difference in a small way has grown into a very organised community of like minded people that’s saved (quite literally) hundreds of lives. We are so grateful to our volunteers, sponsors, and Dr Suresh (Pet Plaza) for their constant support and kindness. As a reminder, we are a crowd funded community of people trying to help as many animals as we can in our locality. URGENT adoption appeal:
This 3 year old male Kanni is lost / abandoned, suffering without adequate shelter or food. We have rescued him and getting him back to full health. Very very friendly dog- would be a great companion for any home! Please help us spread the word

Heart melt alert! On Diwali day, This poor girl ran away from her street because of crackers and was lost. Thanks to the power of our community that never gave up, we searched all around Mogappair for her and finally found her today! It’s safe to say Madame was really happy to be back :) A humble request from our voiceless animals: please avoid bursting crackers - there are so many accidents, and lost dogs all around the country. Hope all of you had a safe and happy Diwali!

As you begin your week, please spend a few minutes to watch this story of true grit, determination, and will power- both from a beautiful dog and our amazing volunteers.

This old dog fell into a huge canal in search of food and was stuck there for *19* long days. Our volunteers tried to rescue her 3 different times before finally succeeding this weekend. The poor girl is obviously weak but full of life. She’s recuperating in the ever reliable Pet Plaza under the safe care of Dr Suresh.

We have two requests to make:

1. Kindly come forward to sponsor her boarding bills- she is going to need to stay safe and recover. Even 300-500 Rs will make a difference. DM us to contribute 🙏🏻

2. The road she was living in was quite dangerous and we would love to find a loving home for this old girl. Please share this post, and see if anybody is willing to adopt her. It would truly make this a miracle complete.

A Special Rescue Story!

A volunteer found something strange in the neighborhood sewage canal. Not the usual place where we see these tiny birds. Not able to fly and starving here the bird would have lost his life. Our volunteers meeting him was a blessing for both. We jumped into action, made the best of available resources and rescued the bird immediately. Special rescues need special ending and here the best part was a neighbour who has few birds already volunteered to foster and adopt this one too!! Bird is happy in safe hands now!

This is no mean feat when you think about it. Looking back, it gives us immense pleasure knowing the impact we’ve managed to create.

This has only been possible because of the power of our community and the relentless dedication of our volunteers. We can only say thank you.
