My niece is a 9th grader this year and taking a class called Animal Management. The students get to take turns bringing their pets into class and today she brought their cat (former Camp Kitten foster!), Floof. I was worried, thinking Floof might be a maniac in this setting, but it turns out, he LOVES being the center of attention and getting alllllll the pets!🥰
(Mind you, he bolts from me every time I am in their house.🙄🤨)

Ready for a fun update??🥰
This time last year, we had a very pregnant cat join us who gave birth to three babies days after moving in. We named her Morticia & her babies Gomez, Pugsley, & Wednesday. Mama had some scary GI issues and the whole family spent the night at the emergency clinic when the kittens were just a few days old. But everyone got better and went off to live healthy lives!

🖤Morticia/Tishy is now Tara. She is frenemies with her canine sister and likes to taunt her.😄 Her GI issues have fully resolved and she’s a happy, playful girl.

🖤Pugsley & Gomez are now Bruce & Willis (lol). They are giant beauties who love being spoiled and adored.

🖤Wednesday is now Pirate. She enjoys supervised time in the yard, channeling her inner lioness.

I looooove receiving updates from all adopters - and after sleepless nights worrying about this little family last fall, it’s so rewarding to see them happy & healthy today.😍

I received Auggie’s invoice from the cardiologist yesterday (sort of forgot that was comin’😂). It was $752, even with a significant rescue discount. We got some solid answers and adjusted his meds to keep him more comfortable, so I’m very glad we got him in. But we’d love some help covering costs on our senior guy!🧡 (So grateful to all of you who have already donated recently.🫶)

Look how big these two have gotten in just one month! As a reminder, these two young gals both came into Mpls Animal Control, separately, as strays. I pulled them from the shelter and hoped they would get along (so they could be each other’s buddy) and they absolutely do.🥰 I call them Big Sis & Lil Sis. I’m waiting until Lil Sis is a bit bigger before I introduce them to the larger flock. But they are doing so well!!🧡

Our little wild child was adopted!! After a very adventurous start in life (running across parking lots & climbing trees during lightening storms), Rogue has landed an incredible forever home. She has a feline sibling to show her the ropes and two parents who are ready to spoil her rotten.

Mama Macadamia heard I could afford a vacation, so wanted to *also* see if I could afford a vet bill.🙄☺️

She’s had some little lesions/areas of scabbing pop up on her back that seem to have gotten worse this week. Before we jump to a food trial (food allergy), we’re going to see if it can resolve with antibiotics & steroids. Ya know, because I don’t have enough animals to medicate in this house already.🤪

Our Soxy girl had a recheck this week, after completing 4 weeks of antibiotics for another UTI. She got the all-clear, which was great news. But it was another $200 bill for our high-maintenance angel.😇
