This morning we laid to rest sweet Zelda. Wednesday morning I noticed Zelda was laying down in the pasture. When I walked out to her I realized she couldn’t get up. Every time she would try he legs would not support her and she would fall back down. With lots of help we finally got her up and moved into a warm, dry stall. Poor Zelda was shivering even with multiple blankets on. After medications administered by the vet Zelda was doing much better until midnight when I checked on her and she was laying down in her stall. Thursday morning she was still down and it was apparent that she was unable to get up even with assistance. The hard decision was made to say goodbye and end her suffering. This was such a difficult thing to experience and witness. My heart broke not only for Zelda but for her family Robin and Jackie who have had Zelda in their life since Zelda was a year old. Zelda has not been at Otter Limits Farm, LLC for very long but her quirky personality and huge beautiful brown eyes stole my heart. She immediately bonded with Lionus and spent most of her first month glued to his side. She slowly started connecting with the minions and Jelly and it was clear after she was gone that everyone on the farm was mourning the loss. Zelda was 20 years old and had a long beautiful life where she was loved and adored. Zelda will be missed but I am thankful for the time we had with her and that she will remain on the farm forever. 💔❤️❤️

Otter Limits Farm, LLC welcomes Papa. Yesterday, Papa got the green light from the vet that he was free of any diseases or illnesses that could spread to the other barn friends. Papa is 20 years old and came from a local racehorse training facility and was one of many feral cats that lived there. Papa spent most of his life in a pipe or igloo shelter away from the other cats because they would beat him up. We are happy to have him join our family and live out the rest of his days on the farm ❤️❤️❤️

A week ago a young female duck that hatched at Otter Limts Farm returned home. Dorothy’s owner called me stating that poor Dorothy was heartbroken and lost after the sudden drowning of her best friend. She had remained in the water with her friend refusing to leave her. When I picked her up and brought her to the farm Dora showed her around and the most amazing thing happened she reconnected immediately with her mother and sister that she had not seen in over a year. ❤️❤️❤️
