Nikon The Dog

I do not yet have human grand babies, but I do have grand-dogs. This photo is NOT Nikon, but it is his daughter and my son Benjamin and (soon to be) daughter in law, Hailey’s dog. Her name is Leica. I have been training her. She is a 2 year old and today she had a day! I’m as proud of her as I will someday be when I have a “grand” birdie a putt or hit a slapper down the 3rd base line for a winning RBI! A 4-man limit of teal and she picked up every single one! Oh and Hailey’s dad and friend were like kids in the field this morning. When you get the pleasure of seeing grown men get this excited, I am reminded of the blessing that God has given to me to be a hunter! I hope everyone has a great day!

This is the 1st post from this page. I will start with a very basic list of the current Hall of Fame members as a simple alphabetised version. In the future I will post a more detailed list that will also include the member's graduating year and the year that person was inducted. On this list, is only the individual members. There are also a few teams that were indicted as a unit that I will post at a later time.

So with Nikon hanging out at my job of shooting Santa photos at Acadian Village, random people started to ask to have him join them for their Santa portrait. Of course, he was glad to oblige with his Santa hat. Lol!

Update on Nikon The Dog:
He has been busy. On the list is duck retrieving, posing for photos with Santa at Acadian Village, he even made a reappearance to pick up the kicking tee at a Lafayette High football game. Living the life!

On location for a little venue rehearsal/training session. Nikon is ready to go for Thursday night! Squish NISH is the theme and It will be senior night and Nikon will be in the house!
A shout out and big thanks to Lafayette Christian Academy, Pastor Jay, Miller, Athletic Director, Barry Baldwin for their help in making all of this happen. It’s a coming out of retirement party now let’s go Lions!

Nikon The Dog will be back after a break that lasted 5 years. As a 1 and 2 year old, he would pickup the kicking tee after kickoffs at Lafayette High. When his owner was promoted to PA Commentator for the games, Nikon took a break from that gig. By request, he will be returning to the gridiron for Senior night vs NISH this Thursday night. Here is a shot of Nikon attending the Mighty Lions’ practice today to see if he remembered how to do it. So far so good. One more practice session at Knight Stadium tomorrow to get some turf texture reps. LETS GO LIONS!

Nikon has a new little lady who is going to be around quite a bit. Please say hello to his daughter. Her name is Leica. Pronounced “Like-ah”. The name comes from a German make camera named for the family name of the founders, LEI-tz and the word CA-mera. She is a feisty, confident, energetic and beautiful Yellow (fox colored) Labrador. She is now just over 7 weeks old and is the pride of Hailey and Ben (My son and his girlfriend). I’ve included a photo of the 2 of them together on the day they met. Also a quick video of her first day working on some obedience with PawPaw Buf. You all should be seeing lots more posts about this pretty girl as time goes on. Please welcome Leica to our crazy world!

Final count: Nikon and Molli end up with 4 yellow and 3 black Labrador puppies. 4 males and 3 female. Thanks goes out to Molli’s mom Jolynn Sloane for a great experience for our little family to participate in. When she decides about the selling of the puppies, I’ll post that info. Believe me when I say, that with the personalities and intelligence of the parents, you could not go wrong here.
