𝑻𝒓𝒚𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒂 𝒗𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒙 is a parasite responsible for trypanosomosis in ruminants, affecting herd health and productivity.

Unlike other trypanosomes, it can be transmitted by biting flies 🪰 such as tabanids and stomoxes, making it a threat even in non-tsetse fly regions.

🐃 As it can hide in deep tissues and then be released in blood several weeks later, the only efficient way of control is with an Isometamidium treatment.
