Today was all about Nosework Games! The teams learned the rules and skills behind three very different challenges, Hidden Treasure, Line Ups, and All Clear. They had plenty of time to practice each game and discussions were had. Every team performed beautifully and are definitely trial ready. Well done, teams! 👏

What a fantastic day albeit cold and wet. But that didn’t stop these talented teams! They learned about and practiced searching across some of the SWUK Tier 2 levels, showing real commitment to fine tuning their skills. Wishing them continued success as they progress to higher levels 🤩

Brrrr! ❄️ A chilly morning co-judging with Kim Harrison at Sussex County Dog Training. Huge congratulations to all the teams who took part in their Scentwork UK Tier 1, L2 trial. Even with four layers of clothing, I couldn’t quite beat the cold, but the quality of the searching certainly warmed my heart!
It was a privilege to co-judge and watch these teams handle the conditions with such focus. Seeing the growth in confidence and communication between the dogs and handlers today was a treat.
Well done to everyone, especially those winning rosettes, you should be very proud of your progress 🏵️
Well done also to Team Byrne, Louis’s first White Dog appointment and he smashed two of the four searches. Tired after searching so well he left the other two searches to his sister to check. Both were very happy in their White Dog duties 🐾

As the year comes to a close, we’re so grateful for the fun, laughter, achievements and growth we’ve shared together. A huge thank you to our marvellous Scentwork & Tricks teams for their dedication and progress. And to our supporters and followers for being on this wonderful adventure with us.

Our last Nosework Games workshop of the year, held at Davis Dogsports & Hathway Hounds. As always lovely work and lots of fun. Thank you Nicola Davis for hosting me all this year.
