Forgot to post this last Wednesday— We got a report of a pigeon with a broken wing in Brooklyn and while we were picking it up we got another call for help for a stunned northern parula that had struck a window in lower Manhattan. We packed our car with the injured birds and brought them to for care.

Today we got a report of a bird in Hell’s Kitchen with a ‘sticker’ on its wing that was keeping it from flying. A Good Samaritan who saw the pigeon on another rooftop figured out how to access that buildings roof and lead us up today— we discovered what was stuck to the bird was an inhuman glue trap intended for rats. It’s heartbreaking to watch him struggle. We took the little guy to for care.

On Friday we got a report of a pigeon down— laying in the middle of the sidewalk at Astor Place. The finder thought it might have a broken wing. By the time we got there it had pushed itself under the benches to hide. We picked up the injured pigeon and give it a lift to

Last night we got a report from Brooklyn about an apparently injured pigeon inside a piece of patio furniture. It’s leg was sticking out sideways in a photo we received. So we went to Bay Ridge, picked it up and took it to for care.
