Finally got the photos developed!!!

Thank you to everyone who celebrated me finally earning my American DVM license and to all of you who supported me through the wild ride to get here. There were plenty of hoops to jump through (some on fire - I’m looking at you, ECFVG and NAVLE), but the circus show is officially over.

It meant the world to celebrate this milestone with so many incredible people I’ve met along the way - the ones who cried, laughed, and stayed in touch through the years. From the bottom of my clownish heart, thank you. ❤️

I just survived the hardest exam of my life. Honestly, the only thing that could compete with this level of stress is the NAVLE and even that might take second place. It wasn’t just the pressure and anxiety built up from my 2 previous attempts but also how everything went down.

On the bright side, I didn’t get kicked out this time (progress lol). The first part went surprisingly well, but maintaining anesthesia was a nightmare - constant interventions just to keep the patient safe and stable.

Now, my brain is fried, and my body feels like it’s been through the wringer, still cramping after stress-sweating for 5 straight hours. I haven’t been able to sleep through the night since the exam, I’m constantly analyzing and processing everything that happened and what lessons I can take away from this.

Despite it being a qualification exam, I learned a lot. I gave it my all. Now, all I can do is wait and hope. No clue if I passed, but at least I survived and definitely earned the right to get a nice massage and a weekend off 😮‍💨

Another pyometra surgery in the books! 🐱

Watching my mentor perform these life-saving procedures is so inspiring, but I can’t wait to be the one on the other side of the table, making a difference myself. I’m so grateful for every chance to observe and learn - it’s all pushing me closer to my dream.

Next week, I’m retaking the final step of my diploma recognition exam. It’s my last hurdle before becoming licensed, and I’m ready for it. Just need to stay focused, keep my cool, and give it my all (hopefully) one last time 🤞🫡

My favorite thing is seeing the funny containers pet parents bring for samples. It keeps the day interesting and always makes me smile! Just a reminder: as long as it’s clean and sealable, we’ll take it. 😊
