A neat update on our Pastel Banana Pied male we picked up at one of our first shows back in 2021.

Within just a few months, this guy completely shifted——losing his bright banana tones and fading into a cool grey, absolutely covered in freckles.

We were stumped… until we began hearing more and more stories just like this from others working with these genes.

He may not be our most genetically powerful male, but he’s undeniably easy on the eyes. With his calm, steady temperament mixed with a shy, curious personality, he’s become a true ambassador here at Route 66.
