"Tiny is a 7-year-old, 5-pound Chihuahua with a big heart and an easygoing personality. Don’t let her breed fool you—she’s no “ankle biter.” Tiny loves people, gets along great with dogs, cats, and kids, and is fully house-trained. She was rescued from a tough situation but has blossomed into a happy, social little companion. Tiny has a mild skin allergy managed with medicated baths and ointment, which her owner will provide. She just needs a calm, caring foster while her owner receives mental health treatment."

Q. Can I foster a cat if I have dogs?

A. Of course!

Pawster Fosters Damon and Craig have been able to give sweet kitten Mercy a loving temporary home-away-from-home, along with some good help from Jake the dog.

Sure, you'll want to make sure your dog(s) like cats before fostering one, but with some simple introductions, inter-species fostering is a great way to bring some extra love into your home!

Meet Belli and Chance! BELLI is a 3-year-old Boxer with a happy, loving personality and a big heart. She’s wonderful with kids and loves being part of family life. Whether she’s joining in on playtime, going for a walk, or soaking up cuddles on the couch, Belli is always ready to share her affection. She’s house- and crate-trained, friendly with other dogs, and an all-around sweet companion who brings joy wherever she goes. ❤️

CHANCE is a calm, gentle 6-year-old English Bulldog who loves nothing more than relaxing and keeping you company. He’s the perfect laid-back buddy—content to sunbathe, nap nearby, and enjoy some quiet time with his people. Chance is house- and crate-trained, great with kids, and gets along well with other dogs. With his easygoing personality and loving nature, he’s a wonderful companion who’ll make any home feel complete. ❤️

They are happy to come as a pair or individually!

Meet WILLOW! Willow is an 11-year-old brindle sweetheart who’s spent her whole life with her owner. Willow loves sunbathing, going for walks, and curling up on a cozy blanket. She’s calm, affectionate, and fully housetrained. Willow does best as the only dog but also does great with cats. She’s a loving, loyal companion who just needs a safe place to rest while her owner gets back on her feet.

Having a foster pet is one of the single most rewarding experiences in the world. But one of the things we hear the most from people is, "I could never say goodbye!"

We get it. It's easy to fall in love, and it's hard to say goodbye. So here are some practical tips to make the transition easier:

1. Say goodbye
2. Take a picture together
3. Write a note to their owner (but no contact info, please!)
4. Make room for your next foster
5. Let yourself feel it

🐾 Leo Pupdate! 🐾

Leo is living his best foster life while his mom recovers 💛 His foster says, “He continues to be such a good boy! He loves sleeping on our ottoman and enjoying the cooler weather out on the deck.”

We’re so proud of this sweet guy for settling in so well — and so grateful to his foster family for giving him a cozy place to rest until it’s time to go home. 🏡💙

We have had the absolute pleasure of getting to know new foster dog Momma this week. Her owner needed a place for Momma while they found temporary shelter. We found a foster home, but they weren’t available until next weekend.

That’s where came in! They happily agreed to let Momma hang out until her foster was back in town. And when they were booked up for the holiday weekend, she got a little bow wow breakout and made even more friends!

Momma is:

🙈A little shy at first
🎉Playful like a puppy when she comes out of her shell

Last picture is her favorite spot by her crate, where she stays when the other dogs get too overwhelming.
