New kid on the block…Fleur 💜 she’s a rising 4yr old ISH and just started her training journey with her new mummy and dear friend of mine, looking forward to seeing her progress and their relationship grow 🦄

I am very lucky to be working with these beautiful animals everyday, of all different sizes and shapes, anyone that knows me will know I love big horses (17hh+) but since getting back into training horses I equally love riding the plucky ponies and there are some fantastic ones out there 🥰

This boy is one of my higher friends! Harbour is 7yrs and is a very handsome, very successful ex racer who is now enjoying a slower pace of life, we’re getting him fitter and back into ridden work ready for his lovely owner to get back on board, he is a character and likes to keep me on my toes but when he listens he is a star and I see a lot of potential 😍🌟

I’m looking forward to working on some lateral movements and getting him moving forward freely and up into the contact, then we will be moving onto some pole work in our next session to get some more elevated paces but this week we are off out into our amazing New Forest for a ride 🐎

PROFILE

This beautiful girl started me back on my journey to training youngsters and reignited my love for horses, I had not ever lost it just my life took me in a different direction for a while but like all things meant to be here I am 💜

She is a 16’2 Irish cob and is now 4 years old.

Her lovely owner has really taken on board the training and implemented into Bambi’s everyday routine, she is turning out to be a really special girl. She certainly still has her moments and has one hell of a buck on her when she feels the need!

On that note she taught me massively about 6 months ago when I took this clever girl into the school on my own just before a thunderstorm which I thought was just a drizzle…🫣 it so happened that it was a full on electrical storm and Bambi did not approve, with a wet saddle and a scared huge baby horse she turned herself inside out and I ended up on the deck with a very sore back, she really taught me to keep my ego in check that day, always keep your witts about you and never forget that horses are flight animals, it was the first time I’d fallen off since having my kids but was a valuable and lucky lesson.

She is now getting more responsive in the school to the aids, works beautifully on the lunge and still keeps me on my toes with her baby moments.

So I have been very poorly recently and like many others it has hit me hard, I feel I am starting to get better or just desperate to feel better so willing it, when you are an active person and ride and train in all weathers, for the choice to be taken away it can be hard to take but I’m hopeful I will be back to it next week but also fully expecting some crazy horses…🏇
