Mrs. Magoo’s Reptile Zoo was absolutely honored to be a part of Levi and Friends Day 2025!
Levi and Friends Day is an annual event hosted by the Adams family on their farm, Fishers of Men Farm, for families of children with disabilities.

In hostess Dedra Adams’ words:

“Wow. What an incredible day! We are humbled by how God provided EVERYTHING and EVERYONE needed for the 7th annual Levi and Friends Day. This day isn't all about Levi, even though his name is in the title; but if we hadn't been blessed with Levi, this dream to love on families similar to ours, never would have happened.
Having a child or family member with disabilities, or medical complexities doesn't have to be a journey anyone takes alone...COMMUNITY is important!
That's what LaF Day is all about. And when God gives you a dream for something, He's going to provide everything you need to make it happen. And He showed out big time this year!
THANK YOU to everyone who donated items for the goodie bags, provided and cooked the food, all the volunteers who spent the day loving and serving others, and the families who shared their children with us.
This is by far our most favorite day of the year. This is what is all about... the joy of loving, serving and connecting.
Thank you Jesus for a wonderful day!!”

The Zoo took in a couple rescues this week; one we are keeping and one we are rehabbing before sending to his forever home. Our rehab buddy is a 10-year-old bearded dragon named Bruce who has been severely neglected but has really perked up in his new bioactive enclosure. The newest permanent addition to the Zoo is a leucistic rat snake someone randomly found in their house. The guy who found him named him Miracle. My personal name for him is Morozko (after the Russian origin of Jack Frost and main character in the Winternight book trilogy). He will keep and go by both names. After his initial quarantine period, you can look forward to seeing him at Mrs. Magoo’s Reptile Zoo shows and events as our newest ambassador!
