Tonight we celebrate the Snow Full Moon.
One of our favourite crystals that connects to the energy of the moon is selenite.
This crystal is excellent for meditation or spiritual work as it is a powerful cleansing crystal.
It is a calming stone that helps instil deep peace.
The word selenite comes from the Greek word selēnitēs lithos, which translates as “moonstone” ; selēnē which means “moon” and lithos which means “stone.” In Greek mythology, Selene is the goddess of the moon.

The Winter Solstice is approaching.
The longest night of the year will be on 22nd December.
This a time to celebrate the life giving energy of the sun.

Throughout history, societies across the world have celebrated and had ceremonies marking the winter solstice, the day of the “sun’s rebirth.”
Most often, winter solstice celebrations honored the symbolism of fire and light, along with life, death, the rising sun, and the moon.

Here are some of our favourite crystals to honour and connect with the energy of the sun. These crystals bring light, energy, radiance and motivation during the long dark nights of winter.
You can create a crystal grid with them, place them on your alter or carry them with you while you watch the sunrise or sunset during the solstice. You can even charge them by using the suns light. 🌞

The Moon Cycle.

We’ve done this little illustration to help you follow the phases of the moon.
New Moon, the new moon is the start of the lunar cycle.

🌓At the moment the moon is in its waning stage.
This means each night it’s illumination is decreasing.
It’s light will decrease until it becomes a New Moon on the 13th November.
After the New Moon the moons illumination will start to increase.
🌒The moon is now in the waxing stage of its cycle. It’s light will get larger each night until it becomes completely light and it is a Full Moon again.
