Today we had a stupid idea. We admit that it was stupid theres no point of denying but to our excuse, we were hoping till the end that the pups would stay still and we would manage. 🤦‍♀️
So today since we had more "free" time than usual, we thought of taking some photos of Alexandra, our Xandra as we call her. The difficult part wasn't taking her photos cause shes about one of the most easy pups we ever had so far at the shelter. Quiet, calm, easy going even though shes 3-4 months old. It was who was with Xandra at the pen she is, the spaniel pups. We have 6 of them still with us that need to be 4 months old to fly. 6 spaniel pups who wont stay a second still. 2-3 of them dont stay still not even when they're sleeping. They are adorable, loving, cuddly and will lick you to death but they wouldnt give us a second to try and take Xandras a photo. The one second one was jumping in front of us, mext another one. We must have taken around a hundred photos seriously before we give up. It just wasnt our day and Xandra is such a sweet loving puppy. Shes a hound/shepherd mix, the new fashion between our hunters. To mix shepherds and hounds so the dogs will be fearless.🙄 You can see her in the photos sitting quietly at the corner while the lunatics go up and down the pen. We love those pups but 6 of them in a pen its chaos! 😂
If anyone is interested in this cutie, please message us. We would love to see her in a home and not grow up in a cage. So far we had lots of people coming to see rhe dogs and adopt but no one was interested in her and its such a shame.

It may be Sunday but when you have dogs, you dont cant rest. We went to the vet this morning and we got the 2 pointer pups we posted few days ago asking for a foster home. Of course no one offered for them and in a way we dont blame people. Who would want to care for 2 living skeletons when its holiday season? Everyone wants to go out, have fun and rest. Why would they cared for 2 skinny pups when they can go anyway in a cage?
The video was taken when we put the pups in the crate and load them in the car. The vet warned us that they were severely underweight but we never believed it was that bad. You see when the dog warden takes dogs to our vet, we know the dogs need badly help for one reason or another. We hadn't had time though to see them with the flight last week and running after the shelter dogs. We have to admit that seeing these 2 today was heartbreaking.
The pups are 6-7 months old and they are english pointers, lemon pointers most probably purebreed. Both of them have a bit of difficulty in walking from being underweight. They have marks and small wounds on their back, behind legs, knees, toes from sleeping on concrete. At their age and size, they should have been close to 15-20 kilos each but they 're not even 10kgs. 😥 Who ever had them, let them starve before dumping them or handing them as unwanted. We will try and get the old ep they were found with them cause we believe they are relatives but also want to help that one as well.
We will let them relax, meet their new cage mates and then take them photos to post them. They are very sweet but need a lot of good food, love and care till they look like they should. Anyone wanting to help with their vet bill and care, can send to [email protected] which is our paypal or to our bank account or revolut account. If anyone wants to sponsor and name them, message us to send you more infos. Any amount trust is is helpful.

We posted Cindy the chihuahua/minpin cros and got adopted. Now we 're hoping that Peggy her sister will be adopted too once shes posted.
The cutie doesnt have the merle colours of the chi even though they are siblings. Peggy whos at the photo with their brother Mimis have the pincher colours, black and tan as you can see. The pups are 11,5 months old and they are part of a family we are helping with rehoming. We got the first 3 pups and as soon as they are adopted we will be taking the next three. What we need for them are loving homes.
As we said on Cindys post, the pups need socialising cause they grew up with their siblings and their owner. They are sweet pups but timid and need patience and lots of love. Of course they are mini size, between 3 and 4 kilos the very max. If anyone in Cyprus can help with fostering any of the pups or adopting, please message us. Peggy or one of her siblings can fly but not now. Theres a process to do before a dog can fly and it takes a few weeks so we cant just put them in a cage and ship them to another country. If anyone is interested in adopting, please message us.

After 6,5 months, we can finally show his face!!! After some pretty difficult months, Gordons face has healed, he accepted the transplant and he can have a normal life like all the other doggies.
It was a really difficult half year for this boy and we all know that he was very lucky. Those who follow his story, you know that we found him with his face falling apart after he was shot in the face. Trust us, it was one of the most horrible things we ever saw and we saw many in our 11 years of rescuing dogs. You can press the tittle of the post if this is the first time you see Gordon in our posts. Once you press the title, facebook will take you to his photo album and you will will see how he was when we first got him back in the end of December 24.
It was just before Christmas when we got him. It took 3 weeks for the infection on his face to go and the vet to be able to examine his face. Then to xray and see the state of his jaws and if needed reconstructing. Having a second surgery to get a piece of skin from his neck and putting it on his face so he could have a face. The first time the transplant we rejected and needed to be done again. We seriously dont want to remember what needed to be done for this poor boy to be almost normal again. Not even imagine the suffering Gordon needed to go through. As for the cost we didnt even ask. 3 operations, 6 months of hospitalisation. We dont want to think how are we gonna pay for all these.
Now Gordon can leave at last from the vet clinic. Hes healthy and he can be adopted which is what he needs. He doesn't need to go in a cage in a shelter. Would anyone in Cyprus foster this boy? Would anyone open his heart and home to him? He seriously can go in a cage in a shelter. It will be setback for him plus we will be risking to injure his face. Gordon needs a foster home in Cyprus firstly to see how he goes, get used to a home and be socialised with being in a home and other dogs. Dont forget he was in a cage for 6,5 months. If anyone can help with fostering, please message us.
For any donations towards covering his huge vet bill, you can send to our bank account or the V3ts Veterinary clinic in Larnaca. The vets and staff there were amazing all this time and we 're very grateful to them. You can also send to our paypal which is [email protected] or to our revolut account.

We have 2 cuties for adoption. They are maΙtese crossed with a brussels griffοn amd they are 2 months old. Both pups are girls and yes they are the cutest. Who ever manages to adopt one of them will be very lucky.
Please keep in mind that the pups cant fly now. They are only 2 months old and they need to be 4 months to be able to fly. We rehome to Cyprus and to Europe cause the rest countries are very far from us.
We are not obliged to rehome to who ever messages us first. Theres a certain process we follow and who ever wants to adopt one of the girls, will need to have a homecheck and answer to questions. Theres also an adoption fee to be paid. For more infos, please messages. If anyone replies to your comments about pages for adoption with maΙtese or other pups, dont reply. They are scammers who unfortunately follow the page and try to fish people into taking them money.

A few days ago we posted a small video of 2 pups taken to the pound. 2 baby staffy pups just after a months old. We didnt have space and we begged for someone to help with fostering them. We wrote again that the pound is full of sick dogs and these 2 babies didnt stand a chance since werent vaccinated.
We managed to get the 2 pups yesterday. After 3? days at the pound the pups went to our vet yesterday and the vet send us a photo of them. We were soooo happy we got them, so thrilled that they were alive and they would live. A while ago our vet called to tell us that one pup is dead and the other one is fighting for its life. 😥 You dont know how s**t we feel for not managing to take them when we we did the post. It feels so awful, its eating our soul not managing to make space when they needed our help. Now a baby lost its life and most probably the other one will as well.
Its so unfair. We need to buy land to build a bigger shelter. We need funds to build more cages. We need a lot of things dam it and if only we had the money for it. We could help so much more stray doggies.
We 're sorry little one we couldnt help. We were late and werent there when you needed us. We hope up there you will have lots food, a warm bed and lots of little angels to play with you. 💔

We refuse to believe that theres not one person out there not wanting to give a home to this boy. We seriously refuse to accept that no one wants to adopt a retriever. We will give it another go with another post before we take him to the shelter and we 're preaying that someone out there will give him a home. Here goes nothing! 🤞
Everyone meet Boomer. A 5 year old retriever who needs a home. Booms family contacted us about helping him find a new home. Something very sudden occured a year ago and the familys attention was focused elsewhere so they gave him to a friend. Their friend didnt want another dog so Boomer went to a fenced plot of land the guy had and Booms was a "guard" with the guys dog, a german shepherd. Boomer stayed there for a year, without any human attention and love. Cause exactly he wasnt a good guard etc the guy asked another friend for help and the other friend asked the owner and eventually Booms came to us.
We admit that Boomer the last year was forgotten, he was left alone which made him forget his manners. The first 4 years of his life he was in home, in a family with 2 children and if it wasnt the issue the family had, he would be still with them. As we said before, unfortunately they cant have him with them so this sweet boy needs badly a home. Hes a big boy of course and a big softy. He needs patience, he needs training to remember how it is to be in a home with a family. He needs time like all the other dogs. Why the other dogs can have an adjustment period but he cant? Theres a book somewhere that says retrievers should know from the start how to behave in a home without training while the other dogs need to be trained??? This is ridiculous and we see it often happening with some dogs who people want them to be perfect from the first minute.
Booms is good with other dogs, humans and we believe with cats as well. We haven't tested him of course but so far we 've never met a retriever whos hostile to any living creature. Retrievers are maybe the kindest and goofiest dogs that exist.
If anyone in Cyprus can foster him, please contact us. If you dont live in Cyprus, you cant help him now. We need very urgently a foster now if possible cause we dont have room at the shelter plus we dont want to put him in a cage. It will break him even more. If you 're abroad and want to adopt him, we will need a dog hotel for him to go and we cant afford that. If anyone can help, please message us.

550 shares but not one person offered to foster them or adopt them. They are a pair of old dogs that their owner is deceased and need a home to go. They are very sweet and quiet pair of doggies and we dont want to put them in a cage. We didnt get them from one cage to put them in another.

We got the 2 oldies from the pound in Larnaca( Cyprus) where we are based.

We couldnt leave them there. At their age, they are the sweetest, the calmest and most gentle doggies. All they want is a soft spot, a place to rest and enjoy what ever time is left.
Last time we posted them and ask for a home for them, even a foster home so wont be in a cage, we had a couple people replying to us.

Unfortunately facebook updated some functions in business pages, thats how we are classified even though they have all the certificates, which caused us a huge problem with the messenger. We still have it, last time it happened it took us 2 months to clear but we 're trying to find ways to read the messages we have. We can see very recent messages and very old. We cant see messages 2 days ago, a week ago. We can see up to a days the max old and then a year old. So even we got a couple of replies, we couldn't sort the 2 sweet oldies.

If anyone can help these 2 small size doggies, please message us and keep insisting. They are kokoni crosses so 6-7 kilos each. You wont even realise you have dogs in your home and the love you will get back will be double and triple.

We have a little girl for adoption a little cutie as you can see. Meet Cindy, a blue merle chi cross 11 months old. Shes of course small size and shes one of 9 chihuahua crosses we 're getting in the next days. We know she looks huge but thats cause we took a close photo of her.
The pups are chihuahuas and chihuahua/minpin crosses that need homes the soonest. They are timid as its obvious from the photo, they dont know whats going on right now cause they lived in an isolated environment so far. Their owner cant look after them any more and cause he loves them, has agreed to rehome them slowly to homes that will love them. They are not aggressive, they dont bite and don't have behavioral issues. They are just not well socialised with many humans so they will need to learn their new human. If you have another doggy, it will be easier for Cindy or one of her siblings to feel more comfortable and be more sociable. If anyone can help with fostering or adopting, please message us. Every application will be checked thoroughly and the chihuahuas will be adopted by people who will love and train them.

Shes a cutie isnt she? We couldn't leave her or her brothers at the pound. This gorgeous little puppy is one of 3 pups we got from the local pound and we posted the first one yesterday. We 're posting the second pup today but we want to say a couple of other things today while doing this post.
The last 2 weeks we got 14 pups in total from the pound to save them but we wont be taking any more. We didnt just reached our limit, we went way beyond it and from now on its a no. Even if we know they will die there, we cant take any more.
Someone may complain to us, like someone did already in one of our previous posts, about doing emotional bΙackmaιΙ saying that the dogs will die if we dont have help. And that we shouldn't force people into helping by making them feel guilty. Well, we dont write our posts based on making people feel guilty. We write our posts based on the truth. We are in Cyprus and we say it in almost every post we do. Not Uk, not Holland, not Germany, not Denmark or any civilised country. The pounds we have arent like the ones in the countries we said above. They are usually 3-5 cages poorly builded where stray dogs are stucked like sardines in a can. A dog is considered very lucky if it comes alive out of a pound and thats not cause the dogs are being pts. Hundreds of dogs are found strays every day and they go to local pounds so the pounds are full with dogs of all sizes and ages. A smallish dog most probably will get killed by a bigger one. With 41-43c daily, the cages that dont have aircon of course, are so hot that the dogs die from heatstrokes. A non vaccinated stray pup like the one we post now, will get sick from being close to other adult sick dogs and will die. Not might die, it will die. Thats unfortunately the sad reality, the truth.
The person that didn't like our posts said that we should write that a pup might die, not will die. We shouldnt try to make people feel guilty. So we should lie in our posts? Shall we say that the dogs are doing fine in the pounds? Shall we say that the pups may die while in the pound so some people can feel good when they read a post and see a dog in a cage? Life isnt always about videos with happy endings and dogs finding homes. We wish it was but not all dogs have a happy ending. We have dogs that are in a cage for 3 years! We wont lie, we prefer to be honest and if someone doesn't like our posts, they can easily unfollow us.
Now for this gorgeous little girl, if anyone wants to give her a home, please message us. She and her brothers need the help. We got them from the pound to save them but we want them to go in a home, not in one of our cages. You can see from the photo that the pup is not large size. Shes around 1,5-2,5 kilos at 2 months old which means that they will be small to medium size. Please help even one of the 3 if you can or one of the other pups we have in our care. They are desperate for love and attention.

An update we should have a long time ago for this basset cross crazy girl. Honey is doing much better thank god cause she was going and coming to the vets all the time. She was full of worms, then she got pneumonia cause she was weak when we got her. After the pneumonia, she got giardia cause she chew things she didn't. Always when you give meds to dogs, you upset their stomach. This is what happened with Honey and she tried to eat any grass she found in front of her causing her to have bad diarrhea. She started meds again even though we wanted to avoid it. Now shes doing much better but she has to gain weight and relax, she needs to become again the sweet dog we 've known before.
Honey is an adult dog. She must be 3-4 years old now so yes, shes an adult. Shes yes a short doggy, it looks from the photos and we can understand that shes a basset cross. Shes got the long and short body shape of the basset hound. She also has the short legs to prove the basset gene. Another thing shes got from the basset is her character. She may be sensitive but shes got a lot of character and shes stubborn. It doesn't matter if shes the smallest in size in her cage. She wants to be the boss.
We dont want her to get stuck in a cage. We want her to find a home and soon. Due to her age, shes in the big dogs section but as you can see in one of the photos we posted, shes like a pup comparing to the other dogs who are large size. Plus she needs the calm and cosy atmosphere a house has. She needs the peace and quiet.
Honey is fine with other dogs and humans. She hates cats and chases them which is hilarious to watch cause she cant be so fast as the cats. We have to admit though that she tries and she can jump a bit. But no cats for her to be sure. Just dogs and humans of mostly adult age and not so young children. Seriously she needs the help, she needs a steady environment to relax and get stronger. If anyone in Cyprus can foster her, we would be very grateful.
