Two students answer the same IELTS Speaking Part 3 question.
Both speak clearly. Both use good vocabulary. Both answer the question.
One gets Band 6. The other gets Band 7.
And when you hear both answers, you'll probably think they sound almost the same. That's exactly the problem — because to the examiner, they don't sound the same at all.
