🇻🇳.Hoi An is a famous ancient town in central Vietnam, located about 30 km south of Da Nang. It was an important international trading port from the 16th to the 19th century, where merchants from Japan, China, and Europe came to trade.
Today, Hoi An is well known for its beautifully preserved old town, traditional yellow houses, small lantern-decorated streets, and peaceful atmosphere. In 1999, the old town of Hoi An was recognized as a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Visitors can explore famous attractions such as Japanese Covered Bridge, ancient houses, Chinese assembly halls, enjoy local food, and experience releasing lanterns on the river in the evening.
