Happy Thanksgiving from ours to yours!

Amos and Cleo had a different bird on their mind this morning. So while the turkey was in the smoker, we took advantage of some good snow capped cover and brought home a couple roosters! The dogs had a great hunt in the fresh snow. A welcomed change from the warm early season! A good freeze this next week and we will be able to start working the cattails!

If you're near the Elk River area, pretty good deal on grass or food plot fertilizer if you're already getting dog food....

Sorry for the delay but South Dakota kept us busy!

Trapper (formally Sturg) from our SR Amos SH x SHR Cleo JH '25 litter got his first ruffed grouse in northern !

And Rainy (formally Snow) from our SHR Wally JH WC x SHR Eva JH WC '24 litter got her first duck!

Congratulations dogs, we love to see our pups thriving!!!

What a tough day with the wind, but several flushes later the team from AZ was able to get it done. 40 mph winds make pheasants go 80mph!!
Wally, Tipsy, Amos and Cleo made some short work of the birds that got knocked down. These guys made the best of the windy hand they were dealt. One more group to go and then back to reality in Minnesota.

Had a great last day with the group from TX/IL/DC!! Struggled to start with only a handful of birds after a couple walks. Then we hit the mother load! Finished strong and made new friends for years to come. Juan even had to get a picture with his new best friend Amos. Best part of the day for me was seeing all 5 of my dogs get to pick up a bird at some point. We are off to a great start!!

I was not very good at getting field pictures. The cover was so thick and the wind was so strong that staying focused on the dogs was the full objective today. Amos and Cleo were the stars of the day per usual, and ol Wally put in work when it mattered most, Tipsy got her first two retrieves and Bash got out for the last walk of the day.

Solid dog work made for happy hunters with limits all around. Now we feast!
