Well here we are at Friday again & I am spending a couple hours with my favorite Marine family and my supervisor Sniper. He is COO of air quality control, household operations, sanitation, & a new service dog graduate! Here are a couple of pictures of him busy at work in his office.

Good evening friends my client sent a picture to show me how great her new plants are doing. Luckily the rain has been a blessing to these new plants and the transplanted Bee Balm!

Today's PSAS is Tropical Sage (Salvia coccinea), a southeastern native that attracts an amazing amount of pollinators! This morning while I was taking my count for the great southeastern pollinator census, I witnessed 6 of our native swallowtails, 2 clouded sulfurs, 1 zebra longwing, 2 wasps, 3 long legged flies, & a beautiful female Ruby Throat Hummingbird!!
This gorgeous plant is usually found in red, but there are also pink and white varieties available. They readily reseed, grow 2-3 tall & wide and are deciduous. They are a great addition to any native, pollinator, or butterfly gardens.

We had 🌧️ but it was nice having a cooler overcast day. I had a 🐶 & then 🐎 sitting job today but was grateful the 🌧️ had stopped by the time I got to each one.
And now this girl is ready for 🛏️

Hello folks here is our Native Pollinator garden after removing the Bee Balm & some weeds, replacing it with Spiked Blazing Star (Liatras spicata), & Hairy Chaffhead (Carphephorus paniculatus). The Bee Balm should be very happy in its new home.
Now we wait to see the first blooms!!

Well here's my video from this morning! Making this I realized just how much of that Bee Balm had to come out & I wanted to get busy. Now I see where not only did I not post this, I did not take after pictures either! I'm going to blame it on the heat! 🤷😵‍💫🥵🥵

Today's PSAS is the Rayless Sunflower Helianthus radula, it is a native plant and one of 20 types of Sunflowers found in Florida! This unique and captivating flower does not have petals like a typical flower. Instead each flowerhead is made up of many small disk florets.
They are found in Pine flatwoods, wet savannah's,, & moist ditches. The Rayless Sunflower also attracts 🐝 's 🦋 's & 🐦 's!!
