We provide show quality pattern trims (all breeds) to standard clip downs that reduce pet hair in your home and keep you pet cool. All pet grooming's include full bathing, drying, brush out, ear cleaning and nail trimming. We feature hydraulic tables and bathing tub, your pet never has to jump and risk slipping or injury. We also offer:

•Medicated shampoo soak - several formulas for different ski

n & coat problems
•De-skunking
•Certain flea & tick removal treatments are available
•We provide walk in service for nail trimmings only: please allow us a moment while we finish or secure any pet's we have on our tables, thank you. All pet grooming is by appointment only. Please allow approximately 3 hours for a full grooming. We hope to see you soon!

Sherri’s Grooming at Shaggy Chic is pleased to announce new hours of operation. We are now accepting appointments for Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, effective immediately. Our location remains at Shaggy Chic, 120 Sunrise Center Dr, situated within Sunrise Center. For easy reference, we are two doors up from the Habitat for Humanity store, formerly known as Sunrise IGA. To schedule an appointment, please text or call 740-319-6866. As independent groomers leasing space at Shaggy Chic, we manage our own appointment scheduling. We respond to calls, voicemails, and text messages seven days a week, striving to address all inquiries promptly. We will no longer be grooming on Mondays or Tuesdays!

We have seen an influx of dogs with embedded ticks in their skin over the past few days, and none of the owners were aware of the problem. It is vital to acknowledge that we are in the midst of tick season. Although ticks can be present throughout the year, spring is typically the peak season. To ensure your pet's safety, consider the following guidelines: 1. Consult your veterinarian to determine the most effective flea and tick treatments for your pet. When purchasing treatments from pet stores, feed mills, or chain stores, adhere strictly to the instructions. 2. Avoid areas with tall grasses and dense woods. 3. Maintain your pet's grooming to facilitate regular tick checks. 4. If you find a tick on your pet's skin, remove it completely and monitor the bite area for signs of swelling, redness, or infection. Be aware of potential symptoms in your pet, including loss of appetite, lethargy, or swollen joints. If your pet exhibits any of these symptoms after tick removal, seek veterinary advice. Prioritize your pet's safety and well-being.

We have had some cancellations and added a few extra appointments to our grooming schedule. There are only 11 days till Christmas so please don’t wait till the last minute to schedule an appointment for your Christmas grooming. We are still independent grooming at Shaggy Chic Pet Grooming at the Sunrise Center ( two doors up from the Habitat for Humanity store … the old Sunrise IGA). You must call or text message for an appointment to 740-319-6866. Shaggy Chic does not schedule our appointments. You can call or text message 7 days a week also! I hope everyone has a safe, happy , blessed holiday! We look forward to seeing all wonderful, loyal clients in 2025!

If you have left a voicemail or message and haven’t been contacted we sincerely apologize. We have been out due to horrific murder of our niece and have needed family time. On top of that John had to have emergency gall bladder surgery. Hopefully everything should be settled down by tomorrow. We are still offering appointments on Sunday, Monday and Tuesdays at Shaggy Chic at Sunrise Center. You must call or text message 740-319-6866. Shaggy Chic does not book our appointments.

UPDATE on Sherri’s Grooming!

As of June 1st, 2024 we are still providing grooming services independently at Shaggy Chic Pet Grooming. We are located at 120 Sunrise Center in Zanesville (this is 2 doors up from the Habitat for Humanity store also know for years as Sunrise IGA). Sherri’s Grooming accepts appointments on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays for grooming services also we offer walk-in nail trims on those same days from 11am to 4pm. We are also accepting new clients as well. To book an appointment for a Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday with Sherri’s place call and leave a message or send text message to 740-319-6866. We monitor this 7 days a week. Please avoid leaving messages on Facebook as many are not being sent thru sometimes for days. Also.. PLEASE DO NOT CALL Shaggy Chic Pet Grooming to book with Sherri’s Grooming. We both handle our own appointments and do book for each other to avoid confusion.
We had hoped to have moved by now or expanded our available days at Shaggy Chic but due to some health issues over the winter it has slowed our progress . Should anything change in the near future I will contact all our clients and publish updates on our page.

The crew at Sherri’s Grooming would like to wish our wonderful clients and their furry family members a Happy New Year! We were faced with obstacles and hurdles during 2023 starting with numerous surgeries sherri endured to repair her broken arm. Then to lose our facility due to the expansion of the parking lot for the veterinarian clinic. First off I want to thank Harmony McDonald and her staff at Shaggy Chic for opening her salon up to us so that we could continue to provide grooming for our Fur Buddies. I don’t know what we would have done without her generosity.
Harmony has extended an invitation to remain at her salon as long as we want and due to some recent health concerns, we are going to take her up on her offer for now. We are currently working on installing new equipment so that we can increase appointments from 3 days to 5. Hopefully we will have this completed in the next few weeks. We will continue to offer appointments on Sunday, Monday and Tuesdays. We will let everyone know when we increase our availability. PLEASE PLEASE continue to book appointments with us by calling or text messaging 740-319-6866. We will continue to schedule our appointments so please do not call Shaggy Chic. I hoping for a happy prosperous 2024 for all of us.!

Holiday Appointments !!!! It is never to early to book your upcoming holiday appointments . Of course we extend our appointments during these busy times but no matter how hard we try to accommodate everyone , someone always waits too long and we can’t get them in. So avoid the rush and book as soon as possible.
Yes, we are still providing grooming services at shaggy Chic Salon in Sunrise Center on Sundays , Mondays and Tuesdays. Please text , or call 740-319-6866 for appointments. We book appointments 7 days a week for our Sunday, Monday and Tuesday appointments .
We are working on arranging spaces and adding new equipment so that we will be able to expand the days we are available . Hopefully we will have this completed with in the next couple weeks. I will post when are availability is expanded. Just a reminder .. please call or text the number above for appointments . Shaggy Chic is not able to schedule appointments for us so please don’t contact them.

SECOND ALTERNATE ROUTE: Find Dollar General store on Greenwood Ave. Go past Dollar General as if you were heading to Rosecrans High school. You will need to make a right on to Wheeling Ave, go past Rosecrans High School and continue on Wheeling Ave till you come to the end. At the end of Wheeling Ave you will need to make a left turn onto Richards Road. After a brief distance you will come to the traffic light and you will want to turn right onto East Pike. Very shortly you will need to make a left turn into Sunrise Center. Please travel safely and hopefully this construction will end In a few weeks !

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE : If you have a grooming appointment scheduled on a Wednesday , Thursday , Friday or a Saturday at Shaggy Chic Grooming Salon 120 Sunrise Center Drive in the Sunrise Shopping Center or with Sherri’s Grooming on a Sunday, Monday or a Tuesday at the same location in the Shaggy Chic Salon you may want to take alternate routes to get to the salon due to heavy road construction on Greenwood Ave and many of the side streets as well. We have all experienced long waits because of this construction . To avoid this headache I have been suggesting to the clients to take Sharon Ave towards the vocational school. Just before the vocational school you will want to turn into Richards Road. Follow Richards Rd to the end which has a traffic light and you will see Greenwood Cemetery in from of you. Make a right turn at that traffic light onto east pike. Sunrise entrance will be on your left and make a left turn into the center. Shaggy Chic salon will be on your right, two doors up from Habitat for Humanity store. I will make a second post on the other alternate route.. I hope these alternate routes will help avoid the hassle of construction .

A lot of clients seem to be confused so I hope this post will help. Sherri’s Grooming Cottage is still providing grooming services and accepting new clients. We are still grooming at Shaggy Chic Pet Salon located at 120 Sunrise Center Drive in the Sunrise shopping center off East Pike. We accept appointments for Sunday, Monday and Tuesdays at the current time. We are hoping to add more days in the near future. To book an appointment you MUST call or text message 740-319-6866. The staff at Shaggy Chic does not book appointments for us so please don’t call them.
If and when we find a new location , I promise we will contact all our current customers and inform them of any changes. Trust me it will not be as confusing as our move in April. We are looking into several options for the future but until then we will be providing grooming services here. The address and phone number is listed on page if you need to find it at anytime.
