Dr. Miller is proud to offer an exciting therapy for treating cancer. Electrochemotherapy (ECT) is a novel treatment allowing for the treatment of certain types of cutaneous cancers that are less amenable to traditional therapies. The technology combines electric pulses with chemotherapy to promote the uptake of the drugs into the targeted tissue. Response rates are variable depending upon the tumor being treated but reported >80% for many superficial tumors! This technology is ideal for delivering chemotherapy with few side effects providing a high degree of tumor control in skin cancers and melanomas.
