Sugar, a sweet 4-month-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, just graduated from our 2-Week Puppy Start Right Day Train program!

Each day she worked on building confidence both at home and in new environments like at the playground, and laying down the foundation for essential obedience skills like “place,” “down,” and having a solid recall. She was all ears (and heart!) every step of the way. 💕

She’s truly off to a great start! With her adorable personality and growing skills, Sugar’s future is looking pawsitively bright! 🌟🐶

Please help us celebrate Hazel on graduating her 3-week Rehab Board + Train! 🥳

Hazel came to us through our friends at The Boxer Rescue of Oklahoma, and she sure kept us on our toes.😜
This sweet (and stubborn!) girl came in needing help with obedience, resource guarding, and making better decisions around other dogs😬. With her low motivation and strong-willed personality, training wasn’t always easy—but Hazel rose to the challenge!
During her program, she learned to work WITH me instead of against and that structure brings confidence, obedience builds trust, and that good manners open the door to more freedom and fun!💛

We’re so proud of all the progress Hazel has made!

Congrats to our latest Board + Train Graduate, Willow 🩷

This sweet 16-month-old mini Goldendoodle joined us for a 2-Week Custom Board + Train after being referred by one of our past grads, Lewis 🐾 (thanks, buddy!)

Willow’s main goals were:
✨ Eliminating her excited reactivity toward dogs and people
✨ Building solid, reliable obedience to prepare for off-leash reliability
✨ Improving house manners so she can be a good host for guests!

Over the past two weeks, Willow’s bubbly personality stayed fully intact—but now it’s paired with the focus, impulse control, and calm confidence she needs to succeed 🤗

We’re so proud of the teamwork between Willow and her family, and can’t wait to have her back in September for Stay + Play with add-on training!🎀🐶

Everyone say a big “good girl!” to Ruby, the 10-month-old Bernedoodle who just wrapped up her 2-Week Advanced Obedience Board & Train — and absolutely crushed it! 💥

Ruby started her journey with our Puppy Start Right program, where she learned all the essential foundations. Now, after two additional weeks, we’ve taken those skills to the next level — and this girl is officially ready for anything.

✅ Reliable off-leash recall (a must when you’ve got 10 acres to explore!)
✅ A love for training and working with her humans
✅ Fantastic obedience and eagerness to conquer new challenges

Ruby’s obedience, engagement, and confidence have grown so much and these two programs have set her up for a lifetime of fun, freedom, and success. We couldn’t be prouder of this smart, happy girl! 🐶🌟

Say hello to Coco, the American Bulldog with a heart of gold and a whole lot of muscle to back it up! This sweet girl was all love — but so excitable on leash, she broke her mom’s finger! 😬

After a 2-Week Manners at Home Board & Train Program, we’ve got a whole new Coco! With reliable remote collar training and a clear understanding of leash manners, she’s now cruising on a loose leash and absolutely thriving with structure. 🚶‍♀️✨

She’s also become a total champ at hanging out on “place,” flashing that big beautiful bulldog smile like she knows she nailed it (she did) 😝

Everyone, please give it up for Mila — the sassiest, smartest Lab/Husky mix to ever charm her way onto a countertop 😜

This girl came into her board & train with a strong independent streak (“I do what I want, when I want!”) and a knack for helping herself to whatever she could find. Counters? Fair game. Trash can? A personal buffet.

But after two weeks of focused home training, Mila now knows that freedom comes with structure, and that rules and boundaries are actually pretty great (especially when they come with treats and belly rubs 💖).

She’s leaving with a solid obedience foundation, better impulse control, and a whole new level of trust and communication with her humans! Great job, Mila!! 🩷

5 years ago, I started Connect Canine Training— my dream come true to bring desperately needed, quality training to my community— and today, we’ve had the honor of helping hundreds of dogs (and their humans!) across not just Oklahoma but Texas, Kansas, and Illinois to build stronger, more balanced relationships. 🥹

From Board + Trains to Group Classes, Private Lessons and Stay + Play boarding — our mission has always been clear: provide custom, compassionate, and effective training tailored to each individual dog’s needs. 🐶

We’re proudly female owned and operated, and beyond grateful for the trust, referrals, support, and tail wags you’ve shared with us over the years. 🥰

We could not be more grateful to have grown from just Owner Haley and her pup Charlee, to now Haley, husband Gunner, their three pups Charlee, Klaus, and Wally PLUS Trainer Kenzie, husband Josh, their three pups Charlie, Kaiser, and Puppy (plus 2 kitties, Shrek + Tony— and a dozen chickies!🐓) Each member of this team plays a critical role in our success and we wish to give them the credit and love they deserve 🩵🩵

These will take place outdoors at the beautiful Bluff Creek Park— this spot has stunning backdrops around every turn! 🌳 Our trainers will be present to help with posing, holding dogs if you want to take turns in multi-dog households, etc. The whole family is welcome! 🤗

🎓🐾 Graduation Spotlight: Lola! 🐾🎓

Big cheers and tail wags for Lola, the beautiful 5-year-old Great Pyrenees, who just completed her 2-week Manners at Home Board & Train program! ✨

With a brand new baby in the house, her loving family wanted to ensure Lola was obedient, calm, and ready to step into her new role as the best big sister ever. 💕👶🐶

During her stay, we worked on:
✅ Polite greetings (no jumping!)
✅ Calm behavior in the house
✅ Respecting space and boundaries
✅ Strengthening her already sweet, steady temperament

Lola was a total star—sweet, sensitive, and eager to please. We’re so proud of the progress she’s made and know she’ll be a loving, loyal guardian to her tiniest family member. 💗

Congratulations are in order for my three special graduates of April — Kona, Booker, and Scottie! 🌻

• Kona graduated our 2-Week Manners at Home Board and Train Program. At 7 months old, he was ready for training! 🏫 Kona has amazing motivation & was extremely eager to please. He conquered all of his obedience like place, leave it, loose leash walking, and so much more. He also learned how to play politely with new friends! 🐶

• Booker graduated from our 2-Week Advanced Obedience Board & Train Program. He first joined me for a Puppy Start Right to learn the foundations & build confidence and returned to advance these obedience skills & take them off leash! He is a naturally timid guy, so helping him experience new things & become more confident is such a blessing ✨

• Scottie graduated our 2-Week Manners at Home Program! She was originally found as a stray in Broken Bow, transferred to Ada for vetting, transferred to a foster/rescue, and was finally adopted by her forever family 💛 Despite the circumstances she faced as a young pup, she adapted so easily to my home and we jumped right into training. She did incredible working both by herself & with other friends 🐶🐱 around & had the best time learning down/stay, recall, and more!!

Big round of ap”paws” for Roo the King Charles Cavalier Spaniel on graduating our 2-Week Manners at Home Board + Train! 🥳

At just 8 months old, this sweet girl came to us all the way from Dallas with a few challenges—mainly potty training hiccups and some confidence struggles. But wow, what a transformation we’ve seen!

Over the past two weeks, Roo’s been working hard (and so have we!) on creating consistent routines, building her confidence, and helping her understand what’s expected of her in the home. From nervous moments to tail-wagging wins, Roo has grown so much and we loved her sweet heart! 💜 . We focused on clear communication, positive reinforcement, structure and building trust every step of the way to help Roo be successful.

We’re so proud of the progress she’s made and can’t wait to see her continue to shine with her family back home. Roo, you are officially a graduate—and we know this is just the beginning of your amazing journey! Congrats, little lady! 🤗
