Good morning everyone!!!Let’s talk about the reason we got into the cat part of Sassy Shreds. Jeans and I were at the dollar tree on pinhook one day. I swore I needed batteries for something. Made a trip JUST for batteries really quick trip because it was raining and the streets were starting to hold water. While I was in a hurry to check out Jean sees a cat in the parking lot. He said mom that cat it trying to get in everyone’s car. Me being in a hurry I told jean the cat was not my problem. We walk out the dollar tree. A lady is standing with her car door open. And I was in a hurry. Jean went to the lady asked if she was ok. I go meet Jean and there’s the CAT. The lady said he would not get out of her car. She could not take the cat because she had a baby. So naturally I tell Jean to pick up the cat and bring him to the truck. I didn’t know what to do with him. We had just lost Carmella. I was not ready for another cat. Plus we had dogs at home. We are sitting in the truck in the rain and the cat starts loving on jean. So
I called casie on FaceTime. Because we all know my track record with Casie and me sneaking animals in hahahah. Casie said we could bring him home. She was coming home in 2 days we would bring him to be scanned. We put him straight in the bathroom when we got home. After a day we let him out into the house with the dogs and Ally ( our other cat that’s passed away since) casie comes home we bring the cat to the vet. The minute they put the scanner near him. It picked up his chip. AWESOME! We contacted the owner. They were on vacation. She asked if we could hold him until they came home. I told her absolutely. Every day I would send her pictures of the cat to let her know he was doing good. When they got home. She asked if I kept him in the house the whole time I had him. I said yes of course. She told me his history he was an Outside cat. But a scardy cat and would run away. They lived way by the casinos on HWY 90 and we found him way at the dollar tree on pinhook. She asked if we wanted to keep him. So we decided we would do a trial. If I saw he was not ok with staying in the house full time. He would go back to her. The road we live off of people drive stupid fast and I didn’t want him to get hit. We know his whole history. He previous owners are super nice. His original name is Zepplin. But I renamed him Carl the Cat. Because he came to us when we were still broken hearted from loosing our Carmella. It’s been 4 years and that dude is still living his best life with us. We’ve screened in the back patio. So the two cats can hang out with us all day and be outside buy safe. He does not scratch our furniture. He lets us trim his nails. He likes to hide around corners and watch me with one eye hahahaha. Hes the best boy ever and I can never thank his original owners enough for letting us keep him. And he’s part of the reason we got into cat toys. Every cat should have affordable toys. When we first got him. He would sleep on me like a baby and suck his little cat thumb. I need to find those videos. He would melt my heart when he did that.
