Welcome to the world… Mabel and Cosmo’s first litter together!

This litter is adorable because we have copies of each parent! Mabel is a sable, and we have 3 sables. Cappuccino and Macchiato are both black sables just like Mabel, and Mocha is a chocolate sable.
Biscotti, Latte, and Frappe are all black and tan phantoms just like their dad.
So if you’re wondering what these babies will look like, just look at their parents.

These babies will have nice low to non shedding teddybear coats just like their mom, Mabel.
They’ll average 30-35lbs, which is a perfect medium size.

As of now, these babies are all spoken for by those on our waiting list, but follow along for cuteness sake! We may have an opening or two after Pick Day, July 19th.

7 Week Pupdate!
Our Happy Buddies (their name in our house) are part of our family, and it’s going to be hard to see them go.
We are currently working on potty training and it’s going as well as it can for 7 week olds.
They’re catching on to house manners and what certain words mean pretty quickly.
This week we work on crate training over night!
We are prioritizing time apart from each other so they don’t have a hard time transitioning to their new homes next week.

Fun fact! Ben will be called Leonardo (we say “Leo” for short), and Jerry will be called Leo! Crazy coincidence, but it has been easy to get them used to their new name since it’s the same!

We’ll be pretty sad here once our happy buddies aren’t around, but Mabel’s babies will be due a week later for us to love on.

6 Week Pupdate!!
Week 6 has been an adventurous one! They went to the vet for the first time, fully weaned from mama, and got to meet their future families!
They are going outside through their doggy door now to potty, and we have expanded their play area. Their world is opening up gradually and they’re loving every second of it.

Our duo is getting so big! Ben and Jerry are walking fine on their own and have the body shape of a beanie baby thanks to the extra rolls.
They’re finding their voices and we get yelled at on a regular basis here. These sassy boys are so loved!

4 Week Pupdate!!

Quinnley and Kai’s babies are now playing a lot more, and they’re enjoying running around our puppy room during play time. It’s a very large room, and it was fun watching them go from shy and unsure to brave and exploring in just three days.

They have teeth! Quinnley will start weaning them soon, and they will have their first taste of food this week.

Their little personalities are starting to blossom, and we’re enjoying the cuddles, kisses, and tail wags!

The cutest thing to grace your feed tonight….

Mae and Fletcher welcomed their mini me boys last week and they are the cutest, chunkiest, roly poly boys we’ve ever seen. There’s only two, which equals extra rolls!! No competition at the milk bar usually means we have to help them learn to walk with physical therapy exercises, but we’ll cross that bridge in a week or two.

Ben (black and white like mama) came first, and Jerry (apricot and white like dad) came second.

We knew this was going to be a small litter because of some difficulties during honeymooning, but we are grateful for what they gave us.

Ben and Jerry are spoken for by those on our waiting list, but follow along for some extra roly goodness!!

Week 3 Pupdate!!

Quinnley and Kai’s babies are finally playing more and they’re starting to get little personalities!
They’re wrestling, growling, and barking at each other, but these little bursts of playfulness only lasts a few minutes before they fall asleep again. Growing is hard work!

The more you know!!

Did you know that we do NOT focus on color? Sometimes we’ll get lucky and find a unique color male that meets our important criteria, but they are usually across the US. They do exist though!
We put more of a focus on health, temperament, coat quality, and a nice balanced structure, and usually we’ll get a few color varieties in that mix. Trust though…. If we have a unique color litter, those puppies will have the best of both worlds, because we have very high standards.

In fact, when you join our waiting list, you are acknowledging on the reservation form that you understand color is not a guarantee. If you want a specific color, you may be waiting a while.

Another reason?? COLOR CHANGES!
Some people will want a specific color and they will pass on Pick Day if that color isn’t available. And that is OKAY with us! This is a commitment, and you are allowed to choose what you really want. However, we have to make sure you know that the color you have your heart set on will likely change.

For example!

BLACK - usually holds their color! Most of our black puppies have stayed black for years now, aside from the brown staining around their mouth. One or two have some dark charcoal mixed in, but we don’t have any “silvers”. Most of our black puppies are true black.

Chocolate - fades to either tan or gray, with some chocolate mixed in.

Red - fades to golden! Everytime! No matter how dark that red is, it will end up golden by age 3. We have produced MANY reds, and only 3 of those have held their color.

Apricot - fades to golden, but usually will keep some orange on their ears.

Black phantom - the black usually stays! The tan points fade to light golden/cream.

Chocolate phantom - the chocolate and tan both fade. Either a tan shade or a gray shade.

Merle - the base color usually stays the same, but the dark parts usually fade. Sometimes the black merle will hold their black spots more.

Sable - complete changing (“clearing” is the technical term here) of color by 1. That’s the point of this color though… the “ombre” affect as they grow.

The take away… they are ALL beautiful. You will love whatever color you choose no matter what color they end up!

If you have a puppy from us that isn’t pictured, we’d love to see what they look like now!! I’ll respond with a puppy picture so we can see how they’ve changed. The fading STARTS around 18-24 months, so if they’re under that, they probably look the same.

**last pic of the chocolate merle is not mine. A friend loaned it to me to show what they look like, because our only chocolate merle isn’t old enough to change yet.**

Week 2 PUPDATE!

Quinnley’s babies sure are cute!!! They’re toddling around now that their eyes and ears are open, but they still sleep most of the time. They’re getting used to our family and friends handling them and cuddling them.

With this many colors, it’s hard to choose favorites around here!!! There’s a new favorite every week. We can’t wait to show case their individual personalities in a few weeks!!
