With a BIG thanks to Second Chance Pet Adoptions, the SNIF Program is back! They have generously pledged $12,000 to help fund more spay and neuters for our community's pets. This incredible support will allow us to continue our mission of reducing pet overpopulation and ensuring healthier lives for our furry friends.

Second Chance Pet Adoptions is Raleigh's oldest no-kill animal rescue organization, dedicated to saving and rehoming animals in need. Through our partnership with Second Chance, we will ensure that more pet owners in Franklin, Granville, Northern Wake, and Warrenton Counties have access to free or low-cost spay/neuter services. This initiative is essential in reducing the number of homeless animals and improving the health and well-being of the cats and dogs in our communities.

Attention Pet Owners!

The SNIF program (Spay & Neuter in Franklin County) is currently on hold due to a lack of funding. This means we cannot issue new vouchers or reissue expired ones after June 1st, 2024.

We will resume again once our new grant has been issued.

Here's what you can do to help:

Use existing vouchers! If you have a current SNIF voucher, get your pet scheduled for surgery before their expiration date, to take advantage of this valuable program.
Spread the word! Let your fellow pet owners know about the program's temporary halt.
Don't let unwanted pet overpopulation become an issue! While SNIF is on hold, there are other options. Check your county and local shelters for a list of affordable programs.

Together, let's keep Franklin County a responsible pet community!

This Saturday, April 27, 2024, SNIF will be making a special appearance at Petsense during their much-anticipated adopt-a-thon! It's your perfect opportunity to not only meet some adorable furry friends looking for their forever homes but also to take a significant step toward responsible pet ownership. In our ongoing efforts to address and mitigate the challenges of puppy and kitten seasons, we're thrilled to offer Low-to-No Cost Spay and Neuter Vouchers to pet owners who qualify.
Understanding the importance of spaying and neutering cannot be overstated—it's a crucial measure to prevent unwanted litters and, in turn, reduce the overwhelming numbers in shelters. To make this process as accessible as possible, we ask that you simply bring along the necessary income verification documents to the event. This small step can make a big difference in the lives of many, ensuring that every pet gets the chance at a happy, healthy life without contributing to the population overflow.
Don't miss out on this wonderful chance to support your community, help control the pet population, and maybe even meet your new best friend! Our team will be there to guide you through the voucher process, answer any questions you may have about spaying and neutering, and introduce you to some of our adorable adoptable kitties. Remember, acting now on spaying and neutering can prevent the rush of litters in the seasons to come. We can't wait to see you at Petsense this Saturday—let's make a difference together!
