We are a small group of volunteers with the same passion. We want to help the under dogs, the dogs that are over looked.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, in the Youngstown, OH area Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home unwanted dogs by creating better lives for them through rescue, foster, training and adoption The ones that need extra time and training, the ones that need to learn to trust again. We will help any dog that we are able to but our focus will be on the ones that need the extra time to become adoptable. Every dog deserves a chance

Two shelters, no interest. All he wanted was a safe place to land. Now, Nolan is snoring away in his foster home, learning that the world isn’t so scary after all. He’s learning to feel safe, getting used to loud noises, and growing braver every day. All because someone opened their home to him.

Fostering saves lives. When you open your home to a foster dog, you open a kennel for us to save another. We cover the costs, from food and blankets to medical care. You provide the safe place they need to start again.

Looking to add a lifetime of sweetness and love your life? We have four little pumpkins waiting for their forever homes!!🎃
Mochi, Biscuit, Cookie, and Toffee. (Cookie is the only girl)
They are American Bulldog mixes. Just over 8 weeks old.
These babies were born in the pound, their mother Gracie gave them everything she had and is now working on gaining weight and becoming healthy to find her forever home.

Nolan is ready to find his forever home!
He is a 5 year old boy who appreciates the simple things in life: naps, sunning, snoring, and taking it easy.

He is: Dog friendly, great on a leash, and loves people, Nolan is the perfect pup.. He just needs someone who understands him, gives him time to settle in, and helps him grow into the best version of himself.

PSA to the neighborhood- Cornbread is still waiting on his forever home!!! He might kick up a little grass, but underneath the zest is a loyal, loving boy who just wants a place to call home. ❤️

He is 8 years old, Doberman mix, incredibly smart, friendly, loves squeaky toys, walks well on a leash, and keeps a clean kennel. His love language? Acts of service. He’s ready to show his person just how good of a boy he can be.

Max is hoping his forever family will scoop him up soon!
He believes he is a lap dog, so he promises a lifetime of snuggles, warmth and endless love on your lap! He loves to cuddle and play, enjoys wearing clothes and is learning how to walk on leash.
He is treat motivated, and will benefit from obedience training. He would be best as the only dog in the home, and bigger kids only because of his size!

Some dogs come into our lives and leave paw prints on our hearts, then there’s one that becomes a part of someone’s soul. Chloe was that dog. 💔🐾 For 15 and a half years, Chloe gave her dad a lifetime of unconditional love and loyalty.
She was his soul dog, his best friend, his family, and a piece of his heart that will forever belong to her.
Anyone who knows the Youngstown Flag Department knows Chloe. She wasn’t just the face of the business; she was its heart. And behind that little face was a bond between a man and his dog that words could never truly describe.

Even in one of the most heartbreaking moments of his life, Chloe’s dad thought of us. We are beyond grateful that he thought of our rescue, and we hope he knows just how much his donation means to us.
There will never be another Chloe. Fifteen and a half years will never feel like enough when you’re saying goodbye to your best friend. Chloe, you were one very loved little girl. Your legacy will live on, your face will forever be part of Youngstown Flag Department.

And to her dad, thank you for thinking of us, your generous donation, and allowing us to be a small part of honoring such a big love.

Sweet Sandy girl is with a wonderful foster, but is still waiting for her forever home.
She is 13 years young, loves to go on hikes and walks and sit outside and take in the great outdoors. Shes super quiet, very calm and enjoys watching tv and relaxing just as much as her hikes!
She was recently a greeter at the Youngstown Peace race - and everyone loved her cheering them on!

Maggie is our sweet girl who is ready to land in her forever home. She has spent most of her life living in the shelter, so we are hoping a patient, understanding person can scoop her up in time for the holidays.

She has so much love to give! Loves to play, loves people, kids and other dogs. We would say a home with no cats is best. She is such a good girl, we love her so much- and you will too!
