Coal might look a little serious at first glance, but don’t be fooled! Behind those bright eyes and stoic face is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet.
At just 7 years old, Coal has the perfect mix of life experience and youthful energy. He’s healthy, spry and still full of curiosity, but he brings with him a calmness that only time can teach. He’s the kind of cat who won’t demand the spotlight, but he’ll quietly steal your heart.
Coal is incredibly sweet and social. He doesn’t shout for attention - he simply asks for it with a gentle paw reach, a soft head butt, or a sweet look that says, “Can I hang out with you?” He adores people, loves food, and just wants a loving home where he can spend his days being someone’s best friend.
Coal is neutered, FIV/FeLV negative, vaccinated, extremely loving, and very polite about asking for attention. He would be the perfect companion for a laid-back home looking for a loyal buddy

Complete an online application and get pre-approved to adopt at https://www.cognitoforms.com/YorkCountyAnimalControl/PetAdoptionSurvey. Once you complete the app, a staff member will call you in 1-2 business days once approved to set up a time for you to meet the pet you are interested in.
Every adoptable pet is Spayed or Neutered, implanted with a microchip, current on age appropriate vaccinations including a current 1 year Rabies Vaccination, and current on monthly Flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention for dogs. All pets are behaviorally and medically evaluated prior to being placed up for adoption. Adoptions are matched based on best placement and require no negative animal history.
