Worried your 4th of July may result in mutt mayhem or kitty chaos? Help keep your pet safe and less anxious this 4th of July with a few simple changes to their environment.
1) Make a safe zone in an interior room that is away from windows such as a bathroom or closet. If that isn't possible draw the blinds or use blackening shades to help prevent them from seeing the fireworks.
2) Place your pet's favorite toy and bed in the area as well as water and food to help create a comforting environment.
3) Adding some white noise such as a fan or music can also be helpful to decrease the scary sounds of the fireworks.

Concerned your pet parent may not know what to get for you this Valentine's Day? I made a list so there wouldn't be any confusion for my humans, but if you're one of those "hard to shop for pets" or just don't know how to write here's some ideas for you. How about a chew that tastes yummy and also has some great dental health benefits? Oravet Chews are a delicious way to help keep your breath fresher and your mouth healthier. Oravet chews work by forming a protective barrier on teeth which keeps plaque and calculus at bay in between dental cleanings. I know my pup pals Maki and Izzie are huge fans and have put their pup paws of approval on these dental delights. And since we are also offering a 5% discount on our dental cleanings it's a great time to ask your pet parent for the gift of dental health. 😸

As promised, a few more safety tips for those pet parents leaving their fur babies at home this Christmas season.
1) Have written instructions of your pet's diet and approved treats. It may be a good idea to review with your pet's caregiver the importance of keeping certain foods away from your pet such as chocolate or foods high in fat. The dangers of certain foods may not be known so it's a good idea to talk with your pet's sitter to review that information. A particularly tasty tablescrap innocently given as a treat could result in severe and potentially fatal illnesses such as pancreatitis.
2) If your pet is taking medications make sure that your pet has enough to last the duration of your trip and a few days extra just in case your holiday trip gets unexpectedly extended for circumstances such as weather.

November: National Pet Diabetes Month

Left untreated, diabetes can be fatal in dogs and cats. https://www.bit.ly/2Mwjrl9

November is National Diabetes Month, and while this month was originally designed to increase awareness of this common endocrine disease in humans, we need to be aware of the growing prevalence of DM in dogs and cats also.

This boy is missing. If you see him come in please hold him for me. There is a reward for his return. His name is Ricochet and he is indeed microchipped. He is a broken coat Jack Russell Terrier and coming 16 weeks old. I have papers, vet records, pictures.

My number is 512.743.7280 I also have pics from his breeder and him and I together. I need him back beyond what words could say.

He went missing Aug 28th around 8am off Mapleway in Gleed area.

I can send pic but this won’t let me attach one.
Top Notch Care hands down. Never before have I actually had the vet himself call me. That's impressive for me. They covered all aspects of my dogs health to get her on the mends. Highly recommend Terrace Heights Family Pet Clinic.
This is a long rant, I have never put a review for anyone before but I was so frustrated by my experience at the office today.
I understand that with our county being in phase one the need for the office to have people wait in cars while our pet is being treated, but the way the front desk talked to me was so short from the moment I walked in, then when the vet called after he said everything looks good and the dog is healthy, as he went on to explain the next procedure. I was so put off when he made sure to tell me he has very limited time to talk about it. First I hadn’t asked a single question yet, only to hear the doctor is to busy! Then why did you book us at that time. We were just there for shots no emergency! The entire conversation with the vet left me feeling like I will never come to this office again. When The vet teq brouothe dog out I know I was rude to the vet assistant that brought out my dog. For that I am truly sorry that she didn’t deserve the butt end of my frustration. If I knew names I would let her know.
LOST-Tan Chihuahua
Location: Covington Lane/Bittner Road in Yakima,WA. Disappeared @ 12:30 am -1:00am this morning. He went out for a potty break and never came back. He is my little shadow and follows me everywhere and he tends to be scaredy-cat, so this is very unusual. Please contact me if you have any information.😢
Thank you to Dr. Hays and his team today! Kaiser loved everyone and is such a happy boy. They say dogs are the best judges of character and I have to agree with him...looking forward to future check ups since I know our boys is in such great hands! Thank you! 🐾♥️
Christmas is a fabulous time to try a new toy or treat for your pet.
I found the Doctor and the staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable. Above all my dog liked them, which is very important to me.
Thank you for helping Pedro he's so much better..
