We've updated our main Sensagility album to include today's shots at a local AKC Agility (our namesake...) trial in Palo Alto. Perfect weather, tons of fun just watching and checking out some cool new products from Planet Blue Dog and some local crafts makers. We'll post some add'l product pics tomorrow

It's foxtail season - How do we know? Our $150 emergency vet bill told us so. A small foxtail embedded itself in our 6 month old puppy's cheek - the sudden swelling on her jaw over was kind of a hint. Initially we weren't sure if it was an ear infection, tooth absess, or bug-bite allergic reaction, but the culprit was a small foxtail. After over 30 years of living with pups, that was a first foxtail for us!

Though we try to keep fit positive, there are some stories that should be shared so that we know which fights to support. This tragic expose on a puppy mill provides insight to consider before casting your votes on election measures regarding puppy mills. CAUTION- Not for the faint-hearted & the common sense take-away is that puppy mills are evil, should be fought, & the pups need to be rescued.

This is one of my husband's soldiers in Iraq 2009. My husband's away right now or I'd ask him more info. I know that the dog stayed with them, even sleeping in their beds, and was well taken care of. He couldn't come home with them but he found new friends before they left. 8) Dogs are a great reminder of home and are also amazing comfort to the soldiers families while they are away.

Great video on search and rescue dogs that was posted by another of our favorite pages, from Dog Bless You about the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation. I wish we could train our own Boston terrier pups to do this! You just really have to have a REALLY strong toy drive though to make a difference in those search and rescue efforts - maybe one day!
