Rachel's Petsitting Services I am a local 11+ year vet tech and I offer pet, ranch, and house sitting services to those in the Teller County area and beyond. Contact me for more info!

I can give medications, injections, nail trims, and more. I am a veterinary technician at a local clinic and I offer pet sitting and house sitting services to those in the Bryan/College Station area. I am well versed in the specific care of exotics such a lizards, birds, ferrets, as well as cats and dogs. I can give medications, administer fluids and provide any type of special care your animal re

quires while you are gone. My services start at $10 per visit for any household with up to 2 animals. I can do basic behavioral training as well as basic grooming for your pet if requested. While I am pet-sitting I will send you videos/photos of your animal so you can have daily updates on how they are doing. Last minute requests are welcomed and I don't charge extra for holidays! Big news from the pet-sitting world… and it’s a little egg-stra 🥚✨

I recently acquired an EMU egg and decided to try my hand at hatching it! I’ll be honest.. I have no idea what I’m doing, but I couldn’t resist the adventure. If all goes well, we could be welcoming a baby emu in about 50 days!

Will it work?
Absolutely no clue.
Do I feel qualified?
Also no.
Am I committed now?
100%.

Now, before you ask… yes, I’m already wondering:
👉 Would any of my amazing clients be interested in a baby emu if this little one successfully hatches?

In the meantime, here are a few fun emu facts while we wait:
• Emus are the second largest birds in the world (right behind ostriches!)
• They can grow up to 6 feet tall and run as fast as 30 mph 🏃‍♂️
• Unlike most birds, it’s the dad emu who incubates the eggs in the wild
• Emus have great personalities! They are curious, quirky, and surprisingly friendly when raised around people
• They can live 10–20 years, so they’re definitely a long-term commitment!

I’ll be sharing updates along the way, so stay tuned for this wild little journey. Fingers crossed for a successful hatch 🤞
