Well it’s that time of the year…

Did you know some short haired cats are double coated just like some dogs?? Solo here is one of the lucky ones requiring more than usual short hair maintenance. Every spring and fall he blows his coat just like a husky or shepherd. This wasn’t even all of it… 🤦‍♀️

Because of his double coat he is more prone to matting and skin issues. He should get a full groom every 6-8 weeks to maintain his “lumpy butt” as I like to call it. The orange hair in the pictures is from Pookie hogging up the grooming supplies but most of that is Solo. 😂

While I was brushing out one of my other cats, Pookie decided it was time for his grooming too. He doesn’t have eyes but he definitely knows when mom has her grooming stuff out. Lmao

It was time for Hambone’s groom again and this time we were getting beach ready! I replaced his peach and black nail caps with some sparkly blue ones. Then after his brush out and groom, he got a watermelon/coconut purrrrrfume to make sure he was ready for summer. 😻

Old man Walter never puts up a fuss when it comes to bath time. He knows the drill and is ready for his scrub.

George can be a little fussy when it comes to bath time. He isn’t much for traveling and tends to be on the more nervous side of things. He’s always a good boy though, once I catch him. 😂

He got a bath which includes nails and ears. He has some skin sensitivities so we went with an oatmeal scrub today. 🧽
