Lainey, Bambi, and Tula on the milk stand tonight. They both take after their momma Tula being great milkers with very good manners on the milk stand. Both are FF and have been a dream to hand milk making things nice and easy for me 🤍 I can’t wait to get them use to the new Simple Pulse Milking machine.

It’s that time of year where apples will be falling! If you have an apple tree and need to get rid of some apples I will gladly take them for the animals! 🍎

A new friend joined the pond this weekend. Everyone meet Fred the Red Eared slider turtle! He is 6 years old and a big boy! Fred and the two other turtles will be outside for a few more months till the temps drop then will be coming inside for the winter 🐢

Little before and after of how affective the goats and even the pigs are at clearing heavily weeded areas.

I hadn’t included this area in their pasture yet and with all the rain we have got this summer the weeds got out of hand fast! A little fence moving and a few days later the weeds have been overhauled!

We made a little magic last night!!!
I put a call out on facebook, asking if anyone had ducklings....
and Fox Grove Farm made my ducky dreams come true!

Yesterday’s projects included moving the electric fencing to a new area for the goats and pigs to clear some weeds under my row of pine trees. Arnold was delighted with his new buffet of weeds to much on!

I’m about a month late on this introduction, but better late than never! Welcome to the farm Arnold!

Arnold is a AKKPS and IKKPS dual registered boaring from Johnson Family Homestead in Maquoketa Iowa. I’m very eager to watch him grow and see what he can produce for me in the future. 💙
