We are working on posing with Blueberry Delight today. She’s not a fan, and grips the table for dear life, but we’ll get there! She’s marked as a blue otter but does she kinda look lilac? Someone chime in that is more familiar with the nuance of blue versus lilac. Her dad is a lilac otter and mom is a blue fawn tri. Maybe I’m crazy and she’s just blue, but I feel like she leans lighter than all the blues I’ve owned.

I will be looking for a lilac buck with good HEC for her.

Mr Needs a name chocolate magpie buck. I have a few in mind but haven’t settled on one yet. We are still working on that pose. When I ask him to sit up he pulls his front legs up with him too so I’m still not sure what he looks like. 😅 He is a very inquisitive fella. Very easy to handle and hold.

I have my babies in hand! We’ll see what comes of them in our rabbitries future. I think the blue otter doe will defintely need a buck with mass. And I haven’t gotten the magpie buck to pose properly yet. But that’s okay! Time to settle in!

Do yall ever hyper analyze every single aspect of your bunnies to the point that you just want to give up. Because they aren’t perfect. Or you feel you take one step forward only to take like ten backwards. I’ve got to learn to enjoy the process and the bunnies for what they are. If there is progress good. If it takes a while, accept it and move on. ☺️

Yall… it’s a girl not a boy.
She had a nearly identical brother that passed away at day two of life for unknown reasons that I could find. I thought it was the doe that passed and didn’t think to resex the other. Turns out she is in fact the doe. 🥹🫶🏼

And now I’m way heavier on does than I thought!

Let’s just appreciate how awkward babies are when you start working on posing them. The amount of SIDE EYE I’m getting in that first photo. I also just find it funny that he kinda looks like patchwork rabbit. He stole his ears and his leg from another rabbit. 😆
